What Obama has lacked until now, compared to the more successful fascist and communist dictators of the past 100 years, has been mobs--large numbers of supporters willing to turn out for rallies or to beat up opponents. SEIU and ACORN are too small to have much of an impact. Maybe their hope is that they can mobilize the illegals plus a share of citizen or legal-resident Hispanics plus left-wing activists to provide a critical mass for protests and intimidation.

Of course the 60-70% of the population which doesn't share his agenda may push back, no matter how much they get called racists by the media and by government leaders--it's the "boy who cried wolf" phenomenon of diminishing returns.

I think it was Dorothy Rabinowitz who pointed out a while back that Obama doesn't understand America very well. He has spent most of his life among likeminded people (academics and leftwing activists) and hasn't interacted very much with average people--remember his encounter with Joe the Plumber.

The Tea Party movement caught Obama and his minions totally by surprise and they still don't know what to do about it other than insult people who take part or sympathize with the Tea Partiers. So far his demagoguery over the immigration issue may be simply a political ploy to fire up the Democratic base for the November elections. If he does have dreams of turning the "browns" into his brownshirts, he may quickly discover that he has made a major miscalculation.

He doesn't love America so he doesn't understand patriotism on the part of others. And, as you said, "the difference is we have the guns."

That picture is 100% photoshopped. I have almost never seen one of these “amazing protest sign” pictures that isn’t photoshopped.

The sign isn’t even flat against the board the person is holding. I wish some of the Freepers that post this kind of garbage would please refrain.
