Obama Court Nominee Can't Tell A Motive From An Excuse

President Barack Obama's nominee to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals evidently doesn't know the difference between a motive and an excuse. Judge Robert Chatigny, a federal court judge based in Connecticut, was picked by the president despite a judicial record which includes trying to bully a convicted serial killer's attorney into delaying his client's execution despite lower court rulings and the client's own instructions, Or perhaps he was picked because of such an attempt at judicial activism.

Serial murderer and rapist Michael Ross, called the "Roadside Strangler," was convicted in 1984 after confessing to the murder and rape of eight different women. His story can be heard in his own words in this series of YouTube clips. Yet Judge Robert Chatigny said: "But looking at the record in a light most favorable to Mr. Ross, he never should have been convicted. Or if convicted, he never should have been sentenced to death because his sexual sadism, which was found by every single person who looked at him, is clearly a mitigating factor."

Sexual sadism acted out through multiple rapes and murders of total strangers is a mitigating factor to this nutcase? This is not a man I would trust in the presence of my wife or children, or any women or children who are unable to defend themselves, but Obama wants him on the US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in New York? I'll never understand how liberals like Obama can claim compassion for the weakest among us while supporting judges like this scum who intentionally put the weakest among us at greater risk.
