Washington DC/Capitol Building webcams OUT (What a coinkydink vanity)

Hey, all--

We had some nice pictures from webcams during the 912 Rally last year. I've been trying to access some of those same cams again, and (*gasp*) I know you will be surprised to learn NONE OF THEM ARE WORKING TODAY. "Down for maintenance', 'unavailable at this time', that sort of thing.

I've been following the Trafficland cams but now the views are TOTALLY changing from one location to another while listed under the previous location. Am I the only one who finds this fishy??

I'm about googled out as far as webcams go--ALL of the DC/Capitol ones are out on the weather websites, etc. Anyone know of a webcam aimed at the Capitol Building area so we can see what is happening with the crowd there? Any FReepers in nearby buildings that can snap pics? Any Congressional lurkers INSIDE the Capitol building that can snap a cell pic or video and post it here on FR???

I feel like Helen Keller in a round room after someone's rearranged the furniture. I don't like that feeling! >:-(

None of those show the front of Capitol building, as far as I can tell. Several of those are archived views I think too.

PJTV doesn’t have webcams. They are covering speakers, etc. though.

Yup. I saw that. The one and only camera that would show the Mall is turned off. What are the odds, with dozens to hundreds of other cams all working?
