One of the pitfalls of changing parties like you change clothes is that you might forget which team you are on from time to time. Here is video of now-Democrat Sen. Arlen Specter forgetting whether it was the "College Republicans" or the "College Democrats" who had endorsed him. He first said "Republicans," but that's the party he threw over the side in favor of the Democrats so he could stay in the majority, and because he did not believe he could win a GOP Primary in Pennsylvania.

Just like Harry Reid, someday in the future we’ll read stories of doddering old Arlen wandering away from the “facility” and being found along a highway mumbling incoherencies.
The problem with Congress is that they stay in office long after senility has set in.

Yes, I would like a competency test for public office. Same as there is for licensed professions and even to renew a driver’s license.
