Not content with driving America into bankruptcy the president is set to announce a new US policy on nuclear weapons that will severely reduce the conditions the United States would consider using nuclear weapons, even in self defense.

Obama sat down with the NY Times and laid out his plans.

Discussing his approach to nuclear security the day before formally releasing his new strategy, Mr. Obama described his policy as part of a broader effort to edge the world toward making nuclear weapons obsolete, and to create incentives for countries to give up any nuclear ambitions. To set an example, the new strategy renounces the development of any new nuclear weapons, overruling the initial position of his own defense secretary.

Under current logical policy, the attack on the US with biological or chemical weapons are treated as if they were nuclear because the US does not have in its arsenal Biological or Chemical weapons.

What leftists cannot fathom is that such actions as policies that indicate nuclear belligerence are the most likely to ensure that you never have to use them- and thus they exist as a DETERENT.

By saying directly that we will not, or under what conditions we would, 0bama removes the deterrent.

Nuclear deterrence and some healthy ambiguity as to when we would and wouldn't use nuclear weapons has kept the world at peace for 70 years.

For many years the Russians could have probably beaten us by conventional means, but they kept their tanks East of the Iron curtain because we did NOT say “we will not use nuclear weapons first” or any such inanity.
