A recently published report by the Central Intelligence Agency says Iran is still working on building a nuclear weapon despite some technical setbacks and international resistance -- and the Pentagon say it's still concerned about Iran's ambitions. The mandated report to congress reads, "Iran continues to develop a range of capabilities that could be applied to producing nuclear weapons, if a decision is made to do so."
"Iran continued to expand its nuclear infrastructure and continued uranium enrichment and activities related to its heavy water research reactor, despite multiple United Nations Security Council Resolutions since late 2006 calling for the suspensin of those activities," the report says.
The CIA's new characterization of Iran's nuclear program stands in contradiction to the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate on Iran, which determined the country halted its nuclear production efforts in 2003.

Along with the fact that they are also working on an ICBM to put them on.

That is part of it, but this also illustrates the failure of the CIA.....
IMO, Israel already realizes that it will have to take unilateral action.

How can they not? They will be blown off the face of the earth. As soon as it is possible. They know that.
Long Range strikes are damn near impossible for them. The few aircraft that are capable of making it over there and back. There isn’t enough of them to do any real damage.
Outside of sending in the Moussad (sp?) to go into these sites and covertly blow them with explosives. Which is incredibly difficult with a low probably of actually working.
They could always use nukes but that’s a road I don’t think anyone wants to go down. Even though that would be the simplest solution.
It’s just unfortunate that the world didn’t unite and stand up to these f’ing people 5-6 years ago like they should have.

But everyone was reassured Iran was pursuing nuclear capability for peaceful purposes.
Our president is worthless, diplomacy is worthless, the press is worthless, the "International Community" is worse than worthless, they are actually of benefit to those who wish to destroy us. Israel now stands more completely alone than ever before. The are surrounded by enemies and abandoned by their friends. They are going to have to pull a 1968 style miracle if they want to survive.
If they wait to be attacked like they did in 1973 the US won't be there to airlift supplies, ammo and replacement aircraft to them. They must completely destroy their enemies ability to make war. And they must do it in the opening moments of the fight, they don't have the population or reserves of supplies or money for a protracted fight.
