I love my crock pot.
I love my curry.

I have never, EVER, thought of putting the two together.
And I never will.

There has never been a recipe from the Cypress Tiems that even looked appetizing.

So, no thanks.

Contrary to what the name would imply, good curry is NEVER made with store-bought curry powder.

I have never, EVER, thought of putting the two together.

I made a mean crock pot eggplant curry. The long cooking really helps the spices blend. But I do generally find my pressure cooker more useful for Indian cooking.

How true. My wife is Japanese and if I even thought of bringing home store curry powder she would deal with me in unpleasant ways.

I'll stay away from this "Americanized" recipe and stick with my real Japanese curry. My wife is a really a great chef.

Do you have a recipe that you can post or freep-mail?

I don't know if it's "real" Japanese curry, but when I lived in Japan, I had to visit CoCo Curry at least once per pay-period.

I miss it quite a lot, and would love to be able to recreate that flavor.
