CLAAS calls on Pakistan to end "Abuse of Blasphemy Law"

Mr. Saeed cited the case of Qamar David, who was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of sending insulting text messages from his mobile phone. He said that the Christian husband and wife, Ruqiya and Munir Masih, were this month sentenced to 25 years in prison for supposedly touching the Koran, Muslim holy book, with unwashed hands, leaving their six children with an uncertain future in a country that provides next to no social welfare.

"It is the first time a husband and wife have been sentenced to prison for blasphemy at the same time", said Mr. Saeed.

Mr. Saeed stated that CLAAS believes that the couple were falsely accused by Muslims wanting to settle a personal grudge and that their imprisonment is profoundly unjust.

Operative word is supposedly. Why would a Christian even stoop to touch a Koran? Izlam allows the accusation of ONE MUZLEM to be accepted as total truth. How does a person "prove" that she/he did not touch a Koran, much less with unwashed hands?

The six children . . . will become fodder for the pedophile Muzlems who will rape them and then send them into buildings full of infidels to blow themselves up.
