Obama's Latest Healthcare Lie- Its Designed to Give the People Control Over Health Care

As part of his continual campaign to sell the unpopular Obamacare proposal to the American People, President Obama visited a school on Wednesday to give (what was promised to be) his final argument on the Progressive version of reforming health care:

..... So whatever state regulations were in place, we’d get rid of those and so insurance companies could basically find a state that had the worst regulations and then from there sell insurance everywhere. And that somehow that was going to be helpful to you. All this would do would give insurance companies more leeway to raise premiums and deny care. So I don’t believe we should give either the government or the insurance companies more control over health care in America. I want to give you more control over health care in America.

The President was not being truthful with the American people. This bill is all about government control. Or as George Will said two weeks ago

There you have the premise of this legislation and the core of today's liberalism: the American people are such dopes they can't be counted upon to buy their own insurance.

It's close to the truth. Obama's latest "healthcare" scheme is designed to give his people control over our lives.

They cannot. Almost 1/3 of the American people have to have signs all around their homes with arrows pointing to the toilet least they use the kitchen sink. How in the heck did we grow these dumb idiots? Whoops, forgot our educational system.

Is there any claim for this travesty that Hussein has not made? The lies and distortions just roll off his tongue with practiced ease. I thought Clinton was good at this but Hussein does it with such poise and aplomb that he has put himself in a class by himself.

Yeah, this was from the big Tuesday meeting....They were given ‘talking points’ to go out and repeat over and over and over...

On the verge of the most fateful week in healthcare , the White House on Tuesday told House Democrats exactly what to say to sell the idea of health reform — even as they know the final package of reforms has yet to be written.
The irony of the Simas presentation is that it describes phrases and selling points on a bill that doesn’t exist.
Following today’s meetings with Emanuel and other top Democrats, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said there are no firm cost estimates available from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

“We have estimates,” Hoyer said.

Even so, the White House talking points advise members to tell voters health reform “brings down costs for everyone” and provides “$1 trillion of deficit reduction over the next two decades.”

The talking points also advise Democrats to tout the newfound “control” Americans will have over health care.

“I don’t believe,” page 2 of the slide show suggests Democrats say, “we should give the government or the insurance companies more control over health care in America. I believe it’s time to give you - the American people - more control over your own health insurance.”

Page 3 of the White House presentation also advises Democrats on how to talk “to the 85 percent with insurance,” suggesting they highlight the bill “holds insurance companies accountable” and give voters “more insurance choices.”
