Brighton Tea Party packed out (Full House and Then Some in Britain)
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | February 28th, 2010 | Daniel Hannan

Thanks to everyone who came to the Brighton Tea Party, and apologies to those who couldn’t get it. We opened and filled an adjoining room, but it was still quite a squash. The hotel manager told me afterwards that there had been more than 300 people present, not counting those who had had to be turned away. Not bad for a meeting organised with two days’ notice.

If you can run a tea-party in Brighton Pavilion – the constituency which the Greens are most hopeful of winning – you can run one anywhere. You don’t have to be a small-government Conservative to feel that taxation, spending and borrowing are currently too high.

Good luck to the UK Tea Party. Hope you can keep it going. Sure is nice here in Texas with the Tea Parties, we got the Elected scared so much they are starting to at least TALK the right way, next is for us to get folks in that THINK the right way.

The English showed their appreciation for Cromwell by overthrowing his son, digging his body out of Westminster Abbey, abusing it and dumping it in some unknown spot.

I would look at Gladstone as a symbol of the movement. He was the archtype 19th century Liberal, before the term was appropiated by the Progressives, politician.

“We need to unite.”

For anti UN purposes? One thing at a time, I say. A US with a more conservative govt will shun the UN without the help of the UK.

Good for them!

Better late than never.

Didn't they give up their rights to bear arms some time back?

Well Gordon Brown is every bit as fiscally irreponsible as 0bama is, and equally corrupt. The only torouble is the British Conservative Party seems to have be taken over by CINO’s (Conservative In Name Only) as well. Britain needs a Tea Party every bit as much as we do.

We need to have a united front against Marxist, open borders, Muslim-appeasing governments, like theirs and ours.

Cromwell turned England into a military dictatorship, imprisoned ‘Freeborn’ John Lilburne and crushed the levellers. He helped win the war against a wannabe absolute monarch, but his greatness ends there. He was in most respects a worse tyrant than the one he fought to displace....
