It's just plain odd, but funny and telling all at the same time. Apparently the Brits are going to have their own tea party to protest their own plight of over taxation.
Accordingly, Member of the European Parliament Daniel Hannan is sponsoring a Brighton Tea Party to be held on February 27.
Hannan thinks that Brits have had enough of being raked over the coals as their government wastes tax money at a rate even higher than that of America's profligate government...

Excellent. Good for them!
The Brits are 50 years further down the road to socialism than we are. It may be too late for them.
They are in very good company that I have been observing.
First Iran election demonstrations in the streets.
Then Tea Party in DC (It is time to DownSize DC Government).
Then Honduras election public demonstrations.
Then Venezuela public demonstrations.
Now England, something worth watching is happening.

COFFEE parties.
The Brits are way overdue to stand up and try and take their country back. Waaaaaay overdue.
More like three times a day, including High Tea which is more of dinner with tea. I should know, I married a Limey. She still will only drink English-imported tea. Sainsbury.
I still like the workin' bloke's tea, PT Tips. That's all my friends drank (besides beer) when I lived there.
Saw a Fox News clip with the guy who's kicking off the British Tea Party. Brilliant man, and someone who can make it happen. He's a big admirer of Reagan and Thatcher. A real conservative.
My wife loves to rail against American tea, namely Lipton, as being too watery and simply not strong enough. So as we were sitting in the waiting room at Gatwick at the end of a trip in 2006, there was a big advert for Lipton Tea on the wall. Ask me if I pointed that out to my wife. (smirk)
You tell her. In these matters, and a few others, reason doesn’t hold much sway.
Wow. I can't believe that Lipton would even waste their money trying to break into the British market. Those people are accustomed to much better grades of tea than the stuff most Americans drink.
Matter of fact, I don't think I ever saw any Orange Pekoe tea (like Lipton) when I lived there. It's crap compared to the varieties that Brits drink.
