Mother Theresa is pro-life.

To the left, that is the only reason WHY she should not be honored with a US stamp.

Blessed are you when men persecute you,
and insult you,
and, speaking falsely, say all manner
of evil against you,
for My sake:
Rejoice and be glad,
because great is your reward in heaven,
for in the same way
they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The USPS has decided to reprint the posters.

What is it with all the fancy stamps anyway? Why is a government agency spending our money making pretty things for people to collect and for various factions to argue about? How about just printing the denimination on the stamps and calling it good?

I am an unabashed admirer of Mother Teresa and her work and her words. I personally don’t want that cheapened by the issuing of this stamp. She is so far removed from the people and causes for which these stamps have been issued that there is an absurdity to it. Frankly, I seriously doubt whether she’d want or notice the so-called “honor” even if she were still among us. It’s like putting her picture and her “stats” on a baseball card.
