I think it was like France hiring Woody Allen to make us love France again. The Europeans just don’t get us. People may be talking about the ad, but, I don’t think it is going to sell a lot of cars.
“It was a funny ad. Satire. Like what Rush does.”
Great ad. VW/Audi makes great vehicles, too.
“Im concidering a Jetta TDI for my next vehicle.”
Has the same 2 liter TDI drivetrain as the Audi A3 in the commercial, for thousands less.
Rated at 30 mpg city, 40 mpg highway. However a recent road test article in Road & Track got significantly higher mileage.
Yup. I live 3.7 miles from work and don’t drive that much on the weekends. So a tank of fuel should last me...About Two months give or take.
Green helmets make almost as good targets as U.N. blue ones!
eh, I thought it was ok..
for the greenies, they’ll likely see it as making fun of them, while us normal people see it as a possible scenario to avoid :/ I completely forgot it was a car commercial until the end...

During my 40+ year adult lifetime, the business fortunes of German car companies have prospered and of American car companies have declined.
Over 50% of passenger vehicle sales in Europe are diesel.
Most companies are moving to offer diesels in this country.
VW/Audi has led in that regard, so the ad is a preview of the future, where VW/Audi is the early leader.
A big concept covered with humor.
