A Lesson on Socialism
A Blog For People Who Love America ^

(By Hannity Producers.)

"An economics professor said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. The class had insisted that socialism worked - and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer for all, for society. The professor then said ok, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism. He said that all grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone was given a B. The students who studied hard were upset, and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who hadn't studied much for the first test had studied even less, and the ones who studied hard weren't motivated to study hard again, and they decided they wanted a free ride too; so they studied little. The second Test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for anyone else. All failed .... and the professor told them that the socialism they wanted would ultimately fail, as they had, because the reward of success normally goes to those that work harder, but when government takes the reward away; few will try so no one will succeed."

I don’t know if that’s a true story, but there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that socialism will never succeed.

Ya but they were all equal! In the socialist mine everyone is equal-even if it means they are miserable or a failure in this case.

Just watch Venezuela. It is a failure in socialism in progress. 8 years it took Chubby Chavez to ruin that country.

The Balloonist

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

“She rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Conservative.”

“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”

“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.”

The man smiled and responded, “You must be a Liberal.”

“I am,” replied the balloonist. “How did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “you don’t know where you are or where you are going. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it’s my fault.”

I've always thought that socialism was promoted by three kinds of people. The first, and numerically far less significant is the evil, those who use the politics of socialism to advance their own careers at the expense of the people they purport to help.

The second I call the stupid, those that believed they would be helped by it. This is probably the largest group, by far.

The third type is the fool. The envious losers who figure they can't make it, so they want to drag those that have down to their level. These are the followers of such demagogues as Jackson and Sharpton (the evil), although not all the devil are black, nor are all their followers, not by a long shot.

Socialism never results in all being equally prosperous. It always has a ruling class, not necessarily inherited and with upward mobility into the nomenklatura possible as the nomenklatura replenishes itself out of its schools but the division between the ruling class and the masses must grow even as the total value of the society declines. The rulers will always be far richer than the masses though the size of the top stratum will get smaller and the lesser bureaucrats’ condition will decline relatively and absolutely.
