One of the most oft-asked questions since the "underwear bomber" was arrested on Christmas day is why was he treated as a domestic criminal instead of being turned over to to our intelligence agencies to be interrogated. As Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab the Underwear Bomber, was fresh from the terrorist operations in Yemen, we could have gotten valuable information regarding al Qaeda's new set-up in Yemen.
The word leaked out is immediately after his arrest Abdulmutallab sang like a canary, then he was read his Miranda rights,so he "lawyered-up" and stopped talking. If he had been turned over to the special interrogator unit rather than the criminal authorities he would not have been offered Miranda rights.
At least we finally have the answer to why the Underwear Bomber was processed as a criminal case, no one asked our spy agencies. Today the Senate held a hearing trying to get to the bottom of the Christmas day attempted terror attack by Captain Underwear. Their objective was to find out what mistakes were made and how they could be fixed. Spy Cheif Dennis Blair does not agree with the way things were handled. He would have recommended that the Underwear Bomber should have been treated as a terrorism suspect and questioned by special interrogators rather than by law enforcement authorities, if he was asked---but then again he wasn't asked.

To answer the article...
Why?
Because Obama and gang wanted the foreign terrorist to (wrongly) be read “his rights” to protect him and so he could STFU and not be required to spill his guts to military interrogators who would use the intel to save American lives.
Obama sympathizes with and supports his muslim brothers. He doesn’t care about saving American lives, he cares about radical islam and hates Americans.
America will suffer these illegal and stupid acts by Obama until Jan.20,2013.
I am still not clear on who exactly made the decision and when they made it. When they took him off the plane, who in the gov’t was in charge of him? Who initially questioned him? Who decided to read him his Miranda rights and when? What was the chain of command in this decision making process? Was it Eric Holder alone who decided this without consulting the DNI or NCTC or CIA heads? Did Holder (if it was indeed him who made the decision) consult with POTUS before making the decision?
The Senate did a lousy job of fleshing out the timeline and facts about this. Sitting up there pontificating instead of asking specific questions does a disservice to the people who elected them and does nothing to enhance our security.
It was the political people who made the decision...the policy people were excluded.
Which political people. They need to name names! The DNI, Head of DHS (Napolitano) and head of NCTC all said they were NOT consulted.....from another article today we also see the political people were putting pressure on the nat’l security people to make the no fly list SMALLER....here is what he said today........
But Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair fought back, arguing the no-fly list has been subject to political pressure to take names off the list because it was causing problems for ordinary citizens.
“The pressure since 2008 has been to make it smaller,” he said. “Shame on us for giving into that pressure. We have now greatly expanded the no-fly list since what it was on Dec. 24.”
Who put pressure on them to make the list SMALLER??? Ask for names and fire their asses immediately. Putting political considerations ahead of protecting the citizens of this country is close to treasonous in my book. Follow the trail wherever it leads.
1% of Terrorists are examined.
All can fly.
30-50% of Americans are examined.
Some cannot fly.
What is wrong with this?
My guess and only a guess on my part...Axelrod and Rahm....it smells like them.
So Blair was sitting around waiting to be asked? This was headline news within minutes of the incident occurring. If Blair wanted to handle the perp, why wasn’t he on the phone to the FBI immediately, TELLING them his agents were on their way to interrogate the guy and take custody of him?
The List, ping
