WARNING: GRAPHIC - Here is video of CNN's Anderson Cooper today helping a Haitian boy injured during the looting of a store in Port-Au-Prince. The boys was hit by a piece of concrete block in the head as looters pelted people in the street from the roof of a store they were looting. Cooper saw the boy bleeding from the head and picked the boy up and took him to the side of the street to try and get him help. Reportedly, the boys was taken away by others and his condition is not known. . . . (VIDEO)

I thought Zero had a handle on this?
Powerful stuff. Hope the kid makes it. This could escalate to a civil war very quickly, if it is not already there.
God bless you Anderson.
Of all the CNN reporters, I have always like AC the best.
Good guy, good deed and I hope all is well for the kid.
Yep, that did it. Watched lots of footage, didn’t break down and blubber... that boy rubbing blood out of his face did it.
Anderson, don’t care if you are gay. Don’t care if you are on Communist News Network. I just think you are a hell of a decent person. You could be living on a ridiculous amount in a trust fund right now, but you aren’t. Good job.
Kudos to Cooper.
I’m not a CNN fan but I respect Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta for their actions in Haiti. Roger Ailes should consider one of them if he finally gets rid of Shep Smith.
A Civil war?? For what gain?? No one has sh**.
He was taking a considerable risk being exposed to all that blood. But good for him.
Well done, Anderson Cooper.
Unlike Brian Williams who fled back to NYC after two days-Cooper is staying on the ground and doing actual reporting.
Cooper and Dr Gupta can calmly report without the overblown hysteria of a Shep or Geraldo.
I civil war would be pointless there. What they need is spontaneous order (like we had in our Old West era). That would be an improvement.
all i can say is this is some f**ked up shite& this is what happens in a catastrophe. UN FORCES need to take control instead of France complaining that the US wants to run the scene. Somebody down there needs to get this country in grip & stop the criminality.this isn’t panic in the streets-these rock throwers ,looters, etc. are deliberate.
Fighting over the resources. That is what you see in this video.
The U.S. General at the airport was decrying (in a PC way) that the Haitian police are in control of security outside the airport, and that U.N. forces are in charge of food and water distribution. But they won’t go in certain areas at all, and I don’t think in any areas after dark due to security concerns.
The General then said something like “The 82nd have been out all day delievering water and supplies to the populace and have had no issues with security concerns.”
Just about anyplace where there is an event like this, the lawlessness comes into play. Here in the US we would like to think we are beyond this but how many scenes have you seen on TV that are just like this?
It is wrong. People are desperate. What is really scary are the number of prisoners on the lose after the prison collapse.
I am sitting in the dark with not much power on my laptop..our storms here on the Central Coast have left us without power since about 11 this morning. Now it is dark. We expect storms all this week and even next. I just hope we don’t have any more 50mph winds. That was nasty today.
Out for now.
That’s an American for you.
