This stuff doesn’t bug me. His policies piss me off but having a POTUS stay in luxury is nothing new.

No one expects a president to stay at a Motel 6, but what’s different in this case is that the country is suffering massive unemployment, being burdened by an avalanche of debt, and enduring a terrible economy that could well drop back into another recession. Under these circumstances, it’s unseemly for someone who asks others to sacrifice while he luxuriates in a $4,000 a day tropical paradise. This is the same president, by the way, who frequently throws lavishly expensive parties at the White House.
Liberal Washington people are elitists. They think living high on the taxpayer dollar is their appropriate reward for being morally and intellectually superior to the peasantry out in the countryside. It shouldn’t surprise that the Obamas live like this, while mouthing platitudes about sacrifice.
