Here is video of Sen. Fred Thompson on with Sean Hannity last night where he talked about President Obama's reaction to the attempted terror attack on Christmas Day on board Northwest Airlines Flight 253.
Thompson said Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab "practically had 'I am a terrorist' on his forehead," yet he was able to board the flight to Detroit. He went on to say that Obama has spent the entire first year of his presidency "reorganizing" our intelligence community and bringing change to the government, yet this kind of huge security lapse still took place.
Thompson pointed out that the underlying problem is that Obama does not really grasp the nature of the threat we face, even though he has started to use the language of "we are at war." But Fred does not believe Obama really thinks that way, but has adopted that language after much criticism about the fact he did not describe it that way.
Fred Thompson said Obama is treating terrorists like Abdulmutallab "as if they robbed a liquor store." That pretty much says it all!
Fred does not believe Obama really "gets it," because if he did, he would not be "mirandizing these people instead of interrogating them if he got it." . . . (VIDEO)

Fred always has a great gift for describing the problem in a succinct, memorable phrase that sticks with people.
I saw Fred on TV and it took me a second to make sure it was him. He looks very different. He has a beard and I think he’s had something done to his eyes and maybe some botox. Did anyone else see him? I thought he looked good.

I didn’t see him, dandiegirl, so I can’t comment.
