Cold Weather? I Blame Global Warming
There's been a fair amount of extreme cold weather recently around the world. Of course, many environmentalists are attributing this to global warming. Geophysicist David Deming notes:
Extreme cold weather is occurring worldwide. On Dec. 4, in Seoul, Korea, the temperature was a record minus 5 degrees Celsius. Nov. 24, in Meacham, Ore., the minimum temperature was 12 degrees Fahrenheit colder than the previous record low set in 1952. The Canadian government warns that this winter is likely to be the coldest in 15 years.
Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri are just emerging from a destructive ice storm that left at least 36 people dead and a million without electric power. People worldwide are being reminded of what used to be common sense: Cold temperatures are inimical to human welfare and warm weather is beneficial. Left in the dark and cold, Oklahomans rushed out to buy electric generators powered by gasoline, not solar cells. No one seemed particularly concerned about the welfare of polar bears, penguins or walruses. Fossil fuels don't seem so awful when you're in the cold and dark.
If you think any of the preceding facts can falsify global warming, you're hopelessly naive. Nothing creates cognitive dissonance in the mind of a true believer. In 2005, a Canadian Greenpeace representative explained “global warming can mean colder, it can mean drier, it can mean wetter.” In other words, all weather variations are evidence for global warming. I can't make this stuff up.
Global warming has long since passed from scientific hypothesis to the realm of pseudo-scientific mumbo-jumbo.
Belief in Global Warming = insanity = The emperor is very well clothed.
It’s been a good year or two since the nutjobs stopped using the phrase “Global Warming” and adopted the phrase “Global Climate Change”. This was done to neatly package all global climate change as a disaster and the fault of man.
It is a religion...Godless no doubt...but, a religion.
Most people DON'T believe in man-made global warming, but those that still do are going to be hard to convince otherwise.

I enjoyed the links you posted and I agree with what you are saying. The belief in global warming is largely based on superstition. Calling global warming a theology does not elevate it to a level close to Christianity. There are enough parallels between organized religious cult members and global warming believers however that I believe calling their belief system a theology is accurate.
Then let’s agree to call it, not “a theology,” but “atheology.”

How can these idiots get away with saying this unchallenged? It makes no sense - warmth is the presence of excess heat, cold is the lack of heat - it’s either one or the other.
We are in one of the coldest spells in a long time - blatant proof that the Earth is NOT warming right now.
Or, if you want to follow their nonsensical logic, then all this global warming is actually caused by global cooling! So global cooling is actually the real culprit!!
Friday night it was -29.9°F. That’s the coldest temp ever in the past year, according to the memory in my digital thermometer. It’s been only about -18°F the past couple of nights. Our high yesterday was -2°F. Today, it’s +10°F.

Physical objects are “cold” or “hot.” Temperatures are “high” or “low.”
I see I said “coldest temperature” in my own post.
I meant “lowest temperature,” of course.
They used to call Supply Side Economics “theology.”
“Theology” is a leftist devil-word. It is the antithesis of all that is rational.
