President Obama and the progressive wing of the party who dominate congress, has made identifying ones self as a Democrat is not as popular as it used to be. Witness the letter I pulled out of the Newspaper today:
Dear Ann Landers,
I lost my job at McDonalds last month for sleeping with the bosses daughter (I swear she looked 18). My parents are life-long progressive Democrats who live in the suburbs of San Francisco. My Father and Mother have recently been arrested for growing and selling marijuana, distribution of Cocaine, as well as Heroin. They are currently dependent on my two sisters, who are prostitutes in Las Vegas.
I have two brothers, one who is currently serving a life sentence without parole for the rape & murder of a teenage boy in 1994, the other currently being held in Sing Sing on charges of incest with his three children.
I have recently become engaged to marry a former Thai prostitute who lives on the street. She is also a part time "working girl" in a Brothel, however, her time there is limited as she has recently been infected with an HIV.
My problem is this: I love my fiancee and look forward to bringing her into the family and of course I want to be totally honest with her. So, how should I tell her about my parents being progressive Democrats?

According to my "No Scripts" log, this site runs (or tries to run) 28 scripts right off when it opens... I allow 6 of them to run.
Without "No Script" I used to have to sit through all that baloney just to read what's posted.
This is getting ridiculous, wasting all that bandwidth.
I run no scripts and ghostery... My browser blocks 13 sites and it loads very quickly...
“thingys” blocked include addthis, clearspring, clicker,feedburner,google adsense,google analytics, myblog log,sharethis,sitemetere, stat counter, technoratic widget, twitter counter...... makes you tired just to read them all

There is one script on that site that continually tries to open up more stuff the whole time I'm there...it's normally an invisible operation unless you monitor what's going on.
When I use Google Chrome I have no way to monitor it but with Firefox, it eats processor cycles like popcorn and wastes resources.
I just don't like the idea of someone else's stuff running on my machine when it's of no benefit.
The big problem is getting the Republicans to do the right thing.
Yep.. I ran into this on mobile broadband last week. I got a notebook with broadband built in on Verizon mobile. If you read the paperwork carefully you find that you have 45 days to OPT OUT or they track all your email, browsing habits and settings to use for God only knows... Needless to say I OPTED OUT>>>>
