America Attacked on Christmas-Obama Votes Absent

The United States of America was attacked by radical Muslims on Christmas Day. The Islamic extremist, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, armed with a powerful explosive, managed to set the wall of a commercial airliner on fire.

Bill Durpay from the Patriot Room: “You see, when the only thing that prevents an airliner from blowing up is the fact that the detonator went bad, unless the government supplied the terrorist with the bad detonator, from a security standpoint, the plane was as good as lost commercial airliner on fire.”

The media is obstinately proclaiming the incident to be a “failed” terrorist attack. The strike didn’t fail, a detonator did. Perhaps al Qaeda studied bomb making notes from Obama’s bumbling terrorist friend, Bill Ayers . Ayers loves bombs.

Like Abdulmutallab, Ayers was born to wealth and privilege. When all was said and done, Ayers and the Weathermen were credited with thirty bombings aimed at destroying the defense and security infrastructure of the US.

Reality is that the government and all the "experts" cannot protect you 100% of the time. The world is too big, we do not control airport security in other countries/continents. Names of one on a flight list can be spelled differently on another. Self-vigilence has to replace our normal complacency when we travel anywhere by car, ship, plane, train, subway even to the mall, across a bridge or just around the block. Scary, but today.. a reality.
You can slap around Ayers, who had nothing to do with the Detroit foiled plot by a terrorist to bomb an airliner; but makes for good read, as we don't like the Ex-Bomber Professor and his wife, so his name pops up when bad guys are mentioned. We can spat at the words "Foiled, Failed, Attempted, Alleged" played out in the media, but remember there is the ACLU watching..ready to pounce and sue. Aggressive measures, or call it what it is "justifiable profiling" being attacked ongoing by the ACLU.
In the end, we are thankful no one was injured. We honor those heroes that day that saved the lives of all on board. It is destined to happen at another time under other presidents and that's a given.
Fingers can point in every direction. Commission to study who missed what memo and why, ongoing investigations to root out the evil doers still at large. Then what? Obama doesn't address the country fast enough, but if he had would it have mattered? It is precedent, however, that he remained "out of the media" for a record period of time. Napolitano was sent out and "failed" in her attempt to to to ..do what? What could she say to make anyone feel any better about what happened?
Meanwhile over this past weekend, the Saudi air force ( missiles) along with our military as Obama signed an order for multiple air-strikes of Yemen high target sites over the weekend with the support of The Yemeni national security chief. Why those stories were not present in the MSM, I am not quite sure. Seems one has to leave the country to get the news via the Internet.

It might be noted that many failed attempts of terrorism on our soil was never mentioned til years later by President Bush. Course we did not know about those, that's the only difference. But this time, it was a vigilant passenger & luck.

I don't agree Obama wants this country left unsafe under his watch. Yes, [Re: That Was Then]... he had revolutionary acquaintances around him moving up the rungs of his career. But now all eyes are on Obama and also those of his own children..it has to be difficult for a President to say that this terror attack under his leadership failed because those chosen to lead around him are unfit for our national security. The red flags were spot on there! I wrote on Yemen a few days ago in regard to Gitmo returnees. High alert should have been established a month ago. Perhaps Obama just gets his briefing from the MSM. Pretty bad when I have to read papers outside this country to be in the know with videos I might add.

Obama has admitted after a long [a record] silence that this was because of systematic and human failure. He deserves an F.

This F could undermine his whole presidency. If you are not protected from terror... health insurance is a mute point. The dead don't need health insurance. Even though in Illinois they have been known to vote.

Bush kept us safe as focus on the war was his priority, but Obama resided in an Academic La La Land, now a leader of the Real World --the authorized strikes with the help of the Saudi air force over the weekend were efficiently and quickly carried out. The same when he had the Somali pirate taken out. Those actions give him an B+.

Perhaps this first year of his presidency has given him a wake up call. But I feel his feet are too small to fill the tall boots needed to keep this country safe. The Democrats have pretty much screwed up the whole world of finance, science, social programs, etc..to win a presidential election by the use of hysterical propaganda gone wild!

Ayers to me is just old cindering copy. He's not worth the mention.
