Cathy Horyn, fashion critic of the NY Times for over 10 years, wrote a nice piece comparing the style of Sarah Palin to Michelle Obama. Naturally, Sarah Palin received high praise for her style or pro in a suit look while Michelle Obama was described as having a knack for selecting the wrong thing to wear.
No surprises but the NY Times praising Sarah Palin? Cathy Horyn was the The Huffington Posts favorite fashion critic but praising Sarah Palin while dumping on Michelle Obama is high treason.
NY Times Wrapped in Their Identities: Lots of working women who spend their own money for their clothes would identify with that. But Ive been thinking about those women, and it seems to me that Sarah Palin, and not Mrs. Obama, is closer to how most of them dress.

WHAT???
Hip-hop fashion is not becoming for a First Lady approaching 50? Knock me over with a feather.
50.
Is that her age or her fashion faux pas since the election??
Just another Jackie Kennedy!
Is that her on the right? Ewwww...
Michelle is looking for her horse.
“Saddle up them horses, I am ready to ride!”
Cellulite too.
Mrs. Palin could wear a potato bag and still look hotter than hell.
LOL! I think she’s had at least 50 faux pas. I’m 49 so I have to give her a little ‘wiggling room’ as far as trying to figure out what to wear. I don’t have mega-fashion consultants at my beck and call, so I generally figure it out myself. Boob-belts have always been OUT! :)
Sarah Palin dresses with class and looks beautiful in anything she wears. End of story.
Michelle does NOT know how to dress, and appears clownish, rumpled, and/or inappropriately dresses most of the time. Only a few times has she appeared properly attired.
Whether it is her own taste or her advisors’, she is a disaster. Just think what she has spent on her wardrobe...it has to be a fortune at this point, and can certainly be considered wasteful spending.
Some of her shoes, alone, are obscene in not only appearance but their price tag.
oh Lord. Help us all. My eyes hurt or is that my stomach? Either way it is repulsive.
You can take a girl out of the ghetto (not that she’s EVER been there), but you can’t take the ghetto out of the girl. *fist bump*
Hooooooray!! Finally somebody noticed.
She must have been reading FR, because I have been talking about this forever. The First Lady has a dress designer who is way out in left field (but so is Michelle, so it must have seemed like a good match), but alas, it’s not a match, it’s a nightmare.
However, recently, I’ve noticed a change .. just ever so slightly .. and I’m hoping somebody has been able to show the First Lady that she is not dressing appropriately for the wife of the President.
I might not agree with any of her politics, nor did I vote for her husband, but her wardrobe needs a serious makeover .. and she needs to ditch the $635 shoes.
She has no fashion taste, whatsoever.
It’s miniscule compared to the damage this creep is doing to this nation. I hope you were indulging me in this little bit of MEOW!
No surprises? The rest of the fashion world has crowned Michelle Obama “Queen of World fashion”. This is earth shattering.
Michelle Obama needs to be seriously considered as a contestant on What Not to Wear. I don’t always agree with the fashion choices on that show, but, given the starting material, almost anything they could do with Michelle’s wardrobe would be a major improvement.
She's also the WWE Divas Champion.
Sarah Palin dresses “Presidential”...Michele on the other hand
...well...I’ve seen DC hookers with better taste in attire....
"What I love about this gown is that I can leave notes to myself easily on the built-in Post-It neckline. It helps me stay organized even while at boring White House soirees."
That outfit is just plain awful.
