Manic depression is touching my soul
I know what I want but I just don’t know
How to, go about gettin’ it
Feeling sweet feeling,
Drops from my fingers, fingers
Manic depression is catchin’ my soul

I had a girlfriend that had this. The complete cycle happened over three days—every three days. One day she was vibrant, happy and outgoing, the next - indifferent and growing suspicious, the third - throwing things, crying, accusing me of being responsible for the things she did wrong, then after 12 hours of that, she would apologize, gry again, and then “start over.”

She was freaking nuts and NOT to be trusted. Friends had always told me to stop dating her, but once I agreed to data someone, I took it seriously and wouldn’t end it for light reasons. After we had stopped dating, I found out she had been cheating on me with some guys at the store she worked at.

She married years ago. Unfortunately, she recently looked me up on Facebook and sent me two invites. Both said she was looking for someone to debate with who was conservative.

Screw her. And I hate Facebook.

...consequence of pot smoking. People with healthier habits (including cigarette smokers and the obese) shouldn’t be forced to pay for that.

This is well known. Bipolar is one of the most devastating diseases that can ever enter a family.

My husband had it, and I cannot tell you how we suffered physically, legally, financially, emotionally, educationally and in every other way you could imagine.

He was a very good man, but imagine an illness where your moods are out of control and that problem is accompanied by a shutdown in logic. They can be capable of about anything. It’s sort of breathtaking to watch them in action.

You say, oh, they can’t do that, or nobody would do that - oh yes they can and they will and not feel a drop of guilt.

I have a neighbor with this. It took me a year to believe that she wasnt just using this as an excuse for obnoxious behavior.

When she is on her meds she is ok. Stil a gossip and back biter but at least normal otherwise.

But off her med her actions have bordered on criminal and she harrasses my family.

Right now the police have told her in no uncertain terms to not approach us or step on our property.

Forget restraining orders or peace bonds. We tried. We have to catch her in the act of something criminal or dangerous and have evidence.

Yes, I understand it is a mental illness but why should the rest of the world have to tolerate her behavior?
