Form what I saw most of the students slept though most of the speech. They had their eyes open but they sure werent paying much attention.
I wonder what kind of instruction they received about their behavior before the speech? I’m sure they were told about the cameras that would be traveling over the crowd at any time, and coughing and talking, etc. Cadets are very good at following instructions.
I read a recent post about the President’s visit to Walter Reed and how the injured soldiers were instructed on how to behave when the President came in for a visit. They were told not to speak unless spoken to, etc. This was in sharp contrast to President Bush’s visit where he spent time talking to each service member, with no special behavior requirements needed.
