If you are hungry in America, and not utterly infirm, then you are hopelessly lazy. And also,, Thanksgiving is the time to count our blessings, not to try to prove how imperfect we are.

I know people who get droves of public assistance who own a new car and who own a home in a nice area and have a new computer.
