Investors Business Daily: Sarah Palin Right, Biden Wrong (US Largest Reserves On Planet)
Citizen Palin 4 President ^

Posted on 11/06/2009 6:14:21 AM PST by MaxCUA

IBD has a very important article on the fool Biden and how Governor Palin could not be more correct on US energy needs and reserves. This is the most significant security issue facing America and demonstrates why the left is so dangerous and anti-American.

Leadership: As Palin jousts with Biden on energy independence, the government reports that we lead the world in energy reserves. From oil to gas to coal, we are sitting on prosperity. So why are we importing anything?

One of the interesting sidelights of the NY-23 race was an exchange on energy independence between Vice President Joe Biden and the former governor of energy-rich Alaska, Sarah Palin. Biden, who came in to campaign for Democrat Bill Owens, was reminded of the issue of energy.

"The fact of the matter is that Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy was 'Drill, baby, drill,'" Biden said at an Owens fundraiser, referring to Palin's own campaign slogan last year. "No, it's a lot more complicated, Sarah, than 'Drill, baby, drill.'"

It’s only complicated to morons like Biden.
The leberal left is choking this country by not letting us drill, not letting us use clean burning coal technology, not letting us build windmills, not letting us do anything to be independant.
A major pharmaceutical company in N.J. has to jump through all kinds of hoops to install solar panels !!!

What myopic idiots. It’s the liberals that keep us dependant on foreign countries that hate our guts.

"“No, it’s a lot more complicated, Sarah, than ‘Drill, baby, drill.’”

When you have a very little brain and severely limited intellectual ability, even simple easy decisions become hard and complex. Ever see a dog try to unwind it's leach when wrapped around a tree? That's Joe Biden thinking about energy policy.

Joe IS an expert in the energy field!
After all,he represented our tiny little State, with it’s vast deposits of......er...ah...NOTHING for decades.
We have 1 refinery, and unless you count Biden’s hot air as geothermal....thats it.

No, Joe, it's not complicated at all.

Of course, for someone who has trouble constructing complete, meaningful sentences without putting his foot in his mouth, yeah, it probably does seem complicated.

But then, that's the price we pay for having children doing what, in the normal world, would be characterized as adult jobs.

CA....

“it’s a lot more complicated”.....For Biden, it was even “complicated” back in the 70’s when he voted against the Alaskan Pipeline.

This makes me think of my all time favorite quote by Thomas Sowell, as appeared in the Seattle Times, on July 19, 1995 (I cut the article out and saved it all these years.

"People who pride themselves on their "complexity" and deride others for being "simplistic" should realize that the truth is often not very complicated. What gets complex is evading the truth."

On a related matter (and it seems that everything the current executive branch does is related to its central goal of radically transforming and diminishing to the vanishing point the U.S.A., with cleverly engineered bankruptcy as one key tool), closing the Yucca Mt. radioactive waste storage facility after spending billions of dollars on it is one element of the radical idiots’ grand plan to FORCE U. S. reliance on wind, the sun and hydropower for energy. The Obamaniacs are saying NO to carbon-based fuels and NO to nuclear radiation sources. That doesn’t leave much.

"Biden said at an Owens fundraiser, referring to Palin's own campaign slogan last year. "No, it's a lot more complicated, Sarah, than 'Drill, baby, drill.'"

Actually, it's not, according to a new report produced by the Congressional Research Service, hardly an outpost of the vast right-wing conspiracy or on the payroll of Big Oil. The report says that if all our energy resources are added up and converted to a barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), the U.S. has the largest reserves in the world."

So in other words, it is more complicated than "drill baby drill"? I mean, I'm all for drilling - other countries drill in their national parks without problems, just apply the necessary environmental standards, no big deal - but that is some shoddy journalism.
