Like a sneeze she has come and gone. Congressional Republican Candidate for New York’s 23rd District Dede Scozzafava has quit.

Now for the good health of the Republican Party, Republicans most move forward from the impure Party corrupting politics of the past of which Newt Gingrich advocates and which handpicked GOP Candidate Dede Scozzafava represents. Scozzafava represented the corrupt politics which are now embraced by both Democrat and Republican Party Officials. Scozzafava is a sometimes Conservative, sometimes Liberal. (see story)

Do not be so certain that Sozzafava is gone just yet. She is still a member of the ASSembly which will redistrict New York as a result of the 2010 census. Look for New York to lose two seats so expect her to try to split what is currently NY23 in a manner that allows her to seek election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

This statement is true: No politician is dead until the embalming fluids have replaced the blood in their veins and arteries or their body is cremated and the ashes placed into an urn.

And this statement is also true: Dead people can still win elections, e.g., Mel Carnahan in Missouri.
