New Siena Poll--> Hoffman Takes a 5 Point Lead.
Siena EDU/The Lid ^ | 11/02/09 | The Lid

Despite bowing to White house pressure to endorse her former Democratic opponent, a Siena poll is showing that most of Dede Scozzafava's have shifted toward Conservative Candidate Doug Hoffman. The latest numbers show a six point leap for the conservative candidate, while the Democratic party's Owens has remained the same.

”Hoffman continues to demonstrate momentum, picking up six points since Scozzafava pulled out,” said Siena pollster Steven Greenberg. “It appears, however, that the majority of Scozzafava’s supporters have gone to neither Hoffman nor Owens, but rather into the undecided column, which has doubled since Scozzafava ended her candidacy.”

In a special election, it doesn’t mean a lot. Show up and vote.

The Public Policy Poll (posted earlier today) had it at 17 points. Wonder which is more accurate?

Either way, looks good for Doug.

Whitehouse pressure? That's the first I've heard of that.

The Dems are going to expend all ordnance they have on our P.O.D. between now and Tuesday night, you can guarantee.

One hell of a lovely war! They are taking this NATIONAL as a referendum on Obama, which it should rightly be viewed as.

Rahm Emmanuel, right there in the frikkin White House, apparantly called her at Obama's request, and twisted her arm, and the result was her endorsing the Democrat Communist(DC), over the Conservative, Hoffman. You cannot make this stuff up.

It is now full scale, zero sum open warfare with the White House.

I know some moderates and some RINO types.

Many of them will cross over and support a Democrat, themselves, but many more get mad when an elected Democrat does such things, PUBLICLY!

The libs Republicans were probably critical of the “disloyalty” to the GOP, exhibited by the Hoffman supporters.

That complaint just went up in smoke, with Dede’s endorsement of the D!

This White House can’t ever be seen as vulnerable. This is why they quickly threw Deeds under the bus when they saw he couldn’t win.

I guess this broke Sunday evening.

Winning Dede Scozzafava: How Dems got her nod

Surprises me that it's not all over the Breaking News sidebar.

I meant, “many more get mad when an elected Republican” crosses over and endorses a Democrat.

In Dede’s case, though, hard to come up with the right label, huh?

A five-point lead really means nothing when you factor in all the cheating done by the dems. Even though everyone is probably keeping an eye on ACORN, that group isn’t the only one up to no good.

Prayer is important now!

Given the guaranteed fraud and voter intimidation to be found tomorrow, a 5 point lead might not be enough. Ten might be necessary to get Hoffman over the top. And Christie might need a 15 point lead in NJ, with Black Panthers providing “security” at all of the polling places and ACORN members counting the votes. Tuesday might well provide a glimpse into the fraud, thuggery and criminal activity we can expect next year. Americans had better be ready for the most breathtaking assault on our liberty in the nations history.

Psssst, Newt! Apparently that (R) after your candidate's name means Rat. She accepted the nomination from a group of local Republican committee members, accepted campaign funds from the RNC and from many legitimate Republicans in NY-23. Then when it became obvious that she could not win her true nature surfaced and in a snit she "suspended" her campaign then endorsed the democrat. Really good judgement, Newt.

At a minimum, the RNC and the Republicans in that district should demand that she return all their campaign donations, officially change her party affliation and tell Newt to stay out of their business.

My guess is a lot of undecideds will simply not show up on a special election day.

And her most ardent supporters are likely to show up and vote for her, not for Owen, since she will still be on the ballot.

The democrats who were going to vote for her because she was more liberal than Owens will probably go back to owens, but they didn’t need her endorsement for that.

And with the republican party embracing Hoffman, most of the “we just vote for the republican” crowd will try to vote for Hoffman.

The biggest fear is that many people will show up to vote for Hoffman, but will vote “republican”, and therefore cast their vote for DeDe instead.

Hopefully, Hoffman will spend money on poll workers for every single precinct,
