Is this a "Bombshell"

That's how Fox News is currently characterizing the new audit done by the American Health Insurance Plans and commissioned by Price Waterhouse Coopers.

After working for months behind the scenes to help shape health care reform, the insurance industry is now sharply attacking the emerging plan with a report that maintains Senate legislation would increase the cost of a typical policy by hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars a year.

I saw this, and the question of the day is Who do you believe ? The Lying Congress, or Corporate America ?

Who is currently responsible for your Health care ?
Why, its Corporate America’s Hospitals, Insurance Companies, and Doctors. Who ya gonna call when you get Sick ....Your Congress person ?

Would that the Republicans would FIGHT BACK....?

General Motors is fast becoming a shining example of a Government Controlled nightmare.

“Look who payed for the study! Case closed!”

I was only half paying attention to the TV (getting dressed for work) this morning, but if this is the same story, the WH said something to the effect that Price Waterhouse is responsible for most of the tax shelters, so they can't be trusted.

I know logic is pointless to the left, but isn't CONGRESS responsible for tax shelters? Further, if PW is the best in the business at figuring out the intricacies of the tax code, wouldn't they also be pretty good at figuring out the health care bill?

I believe that Obama's position is that more government control, more regulations, more bureaucrats AND coverage of millions of more people -- all of THAT is the way to cut costs and save money.

I confess that I don't see it, but then again I'm not a Nobel winner.

What my wife and I heard and saw on Fox News this morning between 6 & 7 AM PDT was:

The audit was done by Price Waterhouse, and the added cost per year for a family of 4 was $4,000.

The gentleman presenting the audits results nailed the Liars re any increase cost not being passed on to us, the individual consumers.

A footnote of historical signance:

A similiar audit by Price Waterhouse killed the Hilliarly and the “I didn’t inhale nor have Sex with that woman”, Bill Clintoon’s national health insurance plan to rape and pillage Americans.

I think what it really means if you think about it is this ...

Private health insurance companies cannot compete with the government who can afford to lose billions of dollars for years without end ... So, in fact, if there is a public option and a private option, the private option is dead in just a few short years, if any single piece of legislation makes it through that provides government health care, then we are all on it a few short years, and from all appearances, the bills they are pushing through now will do just that.

Yes. The current plan is expected to take effect in 2013 — it begins AFTER the next presidential election. Then it does its magic for 4 years, likely without interruption. Perhaps by 2016 people will wish that government didn’t control so much of healthcare, but by then so many private insurers will have been driven out of business, that there will be no going back.

This could be a good thing, because it will get so many people over that threshold into the “luxury coverage” where the taxes on the insurers go up, that it will raise lots of money to pay for the government control plan. /s

yeah, I can’t figure it if this is because there’s no news today, after all it is a holiday, or if they are pushing it a la what liberals claim about Fox news.

We both know that basically every fee increase and tax increase will get passed on to the end consumer.

Last but not least we will probably see limits on what we can deduct re our medical expenses if we have any deductions.

A friend my age in his 70’s is a cpa, former CFO and monitors the finances of a few non profits. He is advising everyone who deducts medical expenses to have treatments done they have been putting off.

He and I joke about becoming the new 6 Million $ men. Both of us have had two cataracts removed this summer. He had a knee replacement, and I had a torn miniscus repaired. Our wives joke about our frequent visitor miles to the local outpatient surgery dept..

We both feel that if 0b0z0 care gets passed, there will no write offs for medical expenses and insurance costs much past this year.

Both of our sons are ripping friends who have never had any insurance because they opted out, and they voted for Obozo out of white guilt and BDS. If 0b0z0 care passes, they will have to buy insurance or get fined.
