POLITICO: Sarah Palin Most Loved By GOP & Hottest Political Star
Governor Palin 4 President ^

Posted on 09/29/2009 9:25:54 AM PDT by MaxCUA

Michael Falcone, from Politico.com, wrote a piece on Governor Palin, Republican base still wild about Sarah Palin:

Despite a torrent of criticism from the media, Democrats and even some in her own party, Sarah Palin remains the hottest brand name in politics.

Her recent resignation was perplexing. It’s raised doubts about her viability as a potential presidential candidate. Still, she remains extremely popular with the GOP grass roots, and most Republican Party leaders would jump at the chance to have her headline one of their events. That’s the picture that emerges from interviews with dozens of GOP state and local leaders from across the country.

DESPITE is one of the press' favorite weasel words. It's supposed to set up some sort of 'opposing forces' dynamic in the mind of the reader but what it really means in this context is BECAUSE OF.

When you say "Sarah Palin" it gets people worked up--for better or worse.

When you say "Mitt Romney" you get crickets.

We have a chance with the former. We have no chance with the latter.

What BS crapola. She was clear as to why she resigned -- because the laws of the State of Alaska do not protect the governor's office from nuisance lawsuits, and the evil ones where shotgunning her office with them. In fact her resignations proved her worthiness for high office!

She is a star, but I don’t serving half a term as governor of Alaska qualifies her to be president. I’d vote for her over Obama, but lots of swing voters, especially women, would not.

But the little Manchurian plants in the GOP hate her.

She scares the hell out of them.

-"... I don’t (think) serving half a term as governor of Alaska qualifies her to be president."

Becareful with that reasoning. That makes BJ Clinton having been "overly qualified" to be President with "5 terms as Governor"!

Things are falling into place for Sarah, with the 1.5 million first printing of her book and six figure speaking engagement fees, she’ll have the personal wealth and freedom to play whatever role she chooses in national politics over the next couple of years, until the next presidential primary campaigns kick off during the first half of 2011.

Screw the swing voters. The elderly are going to be jumping ship on the Dems. Let them talk their way out of messing with the seniors and their health care.

Sarah will say great things about America and being American. I remember Reagan doing that after the abyss of Jimmy Carter. He made America feel good again. Sarah can do that too. And mean it.

One impressive measure of the phenomenon that is Sarah Palin is the number of views and comments that are made whenever there is a post about her. One a day when most other posts are garnering scores of views and tens of posts, at FR and other sites, any post about Palin almost instantly explodes with hundreds of views and a comparable number of comments (including this post). Keep your eye on FR and other sites and observe this happening invariably.

I suspect it is also happening on lefty blog sites as well, although I generally avoid those like the plague.

Just as an after thought, has anyone ever gone onto Amazon books and searched “Sarah Palin”. There are a ton of books out about Sarah, it is amazing that someone so inept and stupid(According to the left and the RINOs)would have that many people making money off of her name and she hasn’t even brought out her book yet. I was trying to pre-order it:) but I can’t find it yet.
