Quix's Posting Priorities, Persona, Values, Style--Disclosure and Commentary
The Strange Space Between Quix's Ears . . . & his Heart | 24 SEP 2009 | Quix

Posted on 09/24/2009 12:32:22 PM PDT by Quix

Dear Heart GiovannaNicoletta, et al . . .

It occurs to me I might should comment yet again but in a bit of a different way on a recurring feature of these fun threads . . .

1. I can't think of a single FREEPER I don't greatly care for and wouldn't be willing to die for, if God called me to do so.

2. Of course, for some of us, living with one another can be more difficult than dying for one another! LOL. However, on that score, too, I find the tableau of individual personalities hereon very refreshing and invigorating--INCLUDING even those who with great obvious malice and mean-spirited afore-thought assault me personally in the most vicous terms relentlessly.

3. Those FREEPER Bros and Sisters are obviously hurting souls who strike out at those dissimilar to themselves out of fear or hurt or anger or control freak dynamics or ATTACHMENT DISORDER dynamics or IN-GROUP/OUT-GROUP dynamics all of the above.

4. I can understand those dynamics fairly fully. I lived awash in them for at least the first 30 years of my life. And some of the dregs of such have been slowly dying more, thankfully, here on FR--particularly the early years when I was ALMOST as scrappy as some of the old timers who eventually got banned . . . not that I'm totally inexperienced in those events! I used to be easily baited and certainly gave as good as I got.

5. HOWEVER, at this point in my earthly trek and spiritual growth . . . even I seem to have learned that living another way is a LOT more worth it as well as a LOT more close to Christ's Nature and Father conforming me to the image of His Son.

6. Some folks are convinced that being fully conformed to the image of His Son would result in every Christian being a Casper Milque Toast sort of exclusively warm fuzzy sweetness and hugs wimp.

7. That's not my Biblical nor my experiential reality in my walk with God. God has OFTEN used very stern, even satirical, even fierce folks to slap me upside the spiritual, emotional, psychological head and set me further on the road to maturity, healing, deliverance and redemptive life-style habits.

8. And, I have found hereon, that text based forums are . . . easy to fall through the cracks on. I cheat on that score. It's always been hard for me to fall through the cracks totally unnoticed regardless of whether I felt like I had, or not. God simply made me a bird of rare plumage and then tweaked it up further with early conditioning and countless hours of conditioning along the way.

9. So, simply being me with my personal preferences hereon is plenty startling, vivid, noticeable. That, turns out, is a better way to communicat to lurkers on such a forum anyway. Standing out in atypical ways results in more readers. Nothing very uniquely surprising about that.

10. At some point, some folks' demands that I conform to a more conventional persona are simply ignorant or at best uninformed.
.
(A) Trying to do so has never worked for me in any modality nor in any context face to face or otherwise.
.
(B) Trying to do so has always made my psychology and my spirituality much more troublesome and dysfunctional.
(C) The Lord HImself has impressed on me numerous times that HE DEPLORES IT when I try and redesign myself, my persona or my presentation of myself in a more conventional set of ways. He seems to treat it as an insult to His Wisdom and His design of me and His mission for me.

11. Contending with folks hereon, whether about UFO's or END TIMES or some such is mostly a type of recreation, at an emotional level. Certainly there's also a ministry inovlved that has a higher priority than the recreation. However, probably the recreational part has more buttons to my emotions.

12. In other words, it's fun for me. I've never been a sports freak. I've always enjoyed playing with words. Discussion and intellectual contending were the most intense playing fields I ever dared enter all my growing up and all my adult life.

13. Originally, words were my only comfort and my only weapons.

14. Thankfully, as The Lord has matured me, healed me, cleansed me, delivered me . . . the ATTACHMENT DISORDER triggered need for weapons diminished dramatically—in terms of for ‘survival issues related to my essence, my personhood.’ The need for that kind of fierceness for those kinds of reasons has just fallen to very low on the scale.

15. I know rather well who I am and what I’m about and even quite a bit about God’s priority about that. Certainly 100’s of FREEPERS have been quite affirming on such scores as well as thousands of students on that score. Most importantly, God’s changing in my heart, emotions, soul, mind, spirit toward a greater place of settled-ness, greater confidence IN HIM AND WHO HE made me—has made a huge difference in such matters. It matters a negligible amount what others think of that ball of wax. There’s nothing of eternal consequence involved in others’ opinions on such matters. They may be nice and I might even seek them out—I am still human and I’m still a recovering child of ATTACHMENT DISORDER—but they’re nothing to lose sleep over.

16. One of the things that has changed in my life that quite a number of people comment on . . . and that has been reflected in student evaluations . . . is there’s MUCH MORE laughter in my life . . . much more fun and joy in my life. There’s much more carrying on in a clean, good-spirited fun way for fun vs mean reasons.

17. Thankfully, that has become more and more true on FR. 11 or 12 years ago on FR, I’d have responded with a feisty retort much more out of hurt or ego or retaliation or some such—trying and hoping to draw intellectual blood so I could put another notch on the side of my brain or some such. Now, I think that’s pretty silly.

18. I’m still more than happy to be feisty and to use naysayers and REPLACEMENTARIANS et al as foils, great object lesson spring boards to vividly, startlingly, memorably communicate UNRUBBERIZED BIBLICAL TRUTHS to lurkers in ways that have a greater chance of lingering in their consciousness such that Holy Spirit can bring fruitfulness from their pondering such assertions and facts.

19. And, IN SOMETIMES MANY CASES, WHEN it appears that REPLACEMENTARIANS et al are being overly influenced by deadly destructive doctrines of demonic forces, deadly heresies asserting directly or indirectly that ALMIGHTY GOD’S WORD AND EVERLASTING PROMISES CANNOT BE TRUSTED—then A FIERCENESS rises up within me to counter such horrors MOST FORCEFULLY, MOST STARTLINGLY, MOST EVEN AGGRESSIVELY. I really don’t have any apologies for that. Souls are at stake—eternal life is at stake for however many individuals who are weak in critical thinking and in solid Bible knowledge.

20. However posting in response to such heretical ignorance and silliness is not 100% all about DEFENDING THE FAITH. A lot of it is just pure fun and recreation to me. It’s the old word fencing that I’ve always enjoyed so much of my whole life. But it’s overwhelmingly good natured fun. I have no desire to leave anyone bleeding to death on the field. I might want their silly doctrines of demons to bleed to death—but not the individual. And, I’ve long noted in that regard, that Jesus was MOST FIERCE toward hypocritical RELIGIOUS pontificators who were addicted to the letter of the law and missed The Spirit entirely. Satire, vividly calling them a brood of vipers and white washed tombs . . . was all fitting. That doesn’t fit the RM rules so I adjust to fit the rules as kosherly yet vividly as I know how.

21. Is there some percent that’s defending my ego or retaliating in a less than saintly fleshly way? Quite plausibly . . . though I work hard to remove such from my heart, my motivations and my posting. I really do not feel those ways toward my opponents.

22. I mostly think of my opponents at a human level as mostly trapped in a set of rearing and other conditioning experiences plus their wills . . . that leave them blinded to solid Biblical Truth. I know what that’s like. I’ve been blinded, too. I have compassion for folks who are blinded, even willfully blinded.

23. I do NOT have compassion for their doctrines of demons and blasphemous heresies.

24. I also have a habit, tendency, style of working hard to make ABSURD ASSERTIONS APPEAR VERY EMOTIONALLY AS ABSURD AS THEY ARE. I make no apologies for that. Tough tacos, if I’m better at that, than the other side is. Their loss. It’s no great feather in my cap—just the way I’ve been made and trained. They can grit and grind their teeth or get better at it or better yet—ABANDON THEIR RUBBERIZED BIBLEd BLASPHEMOUS, DEMONIC HERESIES.

25. LOVING GOD AND LOVING OTHERS IS STILL MY SUPREME PRIORITY.

26. IT’S REALLY TRUE, THAT EVEN IN SUCH POSTINGS I’M POSTING AS I’D PREFER OTHERS POST TO ME IF THEY BELIEVED I WAS AWASH IN DEMONIC RUBBER BIBLEd BLASPHEMOUS HERESIES. That’s really true. It may be hard to impossible for others to fathom that such could be true. It simply is true.

27. In a very real way, responding to folks, even fiercely, is an honor I extend to them. Some people I simply ignore as not worth the bother. Or that their issues and topics are not worth the bother.

28. A number of posters to me are evidently to very clearly grossly and outrageously mean-spirited and brittle—extremely hostile toward me as though they consider me slug scum from hell. That’s their right. They can risk whatever attitudes and feelings toward me they think God will let them get away with.

29. However, on occasion, their hypocrisies in their assertions regarding such can be too tempting for me to pass by silently. I deplore such hypocrisies and so can allow my buttons to be pushed on such scores. Hypocrisies can also trigger some of my fiercer responses. I don’t know that I’m always saintly about that but it is a feature of my personality and priorities.

30. A number of Dear Hearts have noted that they’ve not seen me be mean-spirited on such threads. I think that’s true. I pray that’s true. I’ve certainly never FELT mean-spirited toward others on such threads. We are all flawed. We all have blind spots. I don’t mind extending grace because I need grace—to the individual as a soul made in God’s image. I don’t extend grace to demonic blasphemous heresies that are likely dooming some hapless readers to hell.

31. Part of my fun with such posters is to see how many creative, feisty, pointed, impactful ways I can respond to the same blasphemous drivel over and over again. It’s a challenge to me not unlike trying to see how many baskets in a row one could throw.

32. Nevertheless, I care about every FREEPER on FR and pray that they all draw closer to God and experience His eternal life. I forgive even the meanest-spirited, most harshly personally assaultive posts about as quickly as I read them. I find them more low class humorous than anything.

33. Short of a prayed for miracle from God, I doubt the REPLACEMENTARIANS et al hereon are going to change their views or their posting styles . . . possibly even when the END TIMES PROPHECIES start falling out of the sky in their laps and back yards. At some point, that will have to be their responsibility.

34. I’m doing the best I know how at being a WATCHMAN ON THE WALL . . . I want none of their blood nor none of the lurkers’ blood on my hands.

35. BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD. BLESSED BE THE WORD OF THE LORD.

Quix, I've been reading your posts for quite some time now and you have always been genuine in who you are, without excuse or apology. I like this trait.

In the church today (as well as in the world) there are too many folks that wear a mask trying to be what others will respond to favorably. You certainly just "let it all hang out" for the world to see.

Our Lord did this as well. He made no apologies for who He was, His mission, or where He received His authority. As we are conformed into His image, this trait should manifest itself in the way we conduct our communications with others.

As a side note, what are your thoughts on meekness? I believe many will be blessed to understand the truth of this quality.

Meekness of Moses

Blessings and Shalom to you my Brother!
