Campbell Brown Slams Fox News for Ad Saying CNN "Missed the Story" on 9/12 March - Video 9/18/09

Here is video of CNN's Campbell Brown slamming Fox News for their ad asking why other networks - including CNN - "missed the story" - referring to the huge 9/12 March on Washington.

Campbell Brown rightly points out that CNN did cover the story. We even posted video last weekend of a CNN Reporter being shouted down with chants of "Glenn Beck" and "Tell the truth" as she tried to report on the rally. So it is not true that CNN did not cover the story.

But it is true they "missed" the story, because much of their reporting sought to either downplay the seriousness of the event, or characterize those in attendance as fringe people instead of average Americans who are just desperately concerned about their nation.

But as far as coverage, it was not fair to lump CNN in with MSNBC, ABC, and CBS, who did virtually nothing at all to cover the March. . . . (VIDEO)

I find the network wars more entertaining than the political wars. FoxNews needs to kidnap Campbell Brown and holder her hostage until CNN pays a ransom. If they won’t, then torture her, and run the clip on Hannity.

I have to side with CNN on this one. That morning..you had to watch CNN is get coverage. Fox news was missing in action running their regular Saturday programming.

And as for MSNBC, one of their reporters, a guy who is high up...but can’t remember his name, was saying it was not tens of thousands but HUNDREDS of thousands..while fox was still saying tens of thousands.

What an annoying voice she has.

I like how she says at the very end, “We approach our coverage without bias, and tell you what you NEED to know...”

Isn’t that bias?!

I guess you’re right about this...O’Reilly is still saying 75,000 because “that’s what the fire department told them.”

the MSM is acting hypocritical. They attack foxnews for their advertising skits fair and balance, yet thats exactly what they do themselves. MSM advertise themselves as providing the best.fair.balance view, but thats just an opinion not a fact

Yes it was fair. During the March I was stuck at work with CNN. While it was mentioned with the same weight as would be a car wreck or some other throw away story, it was all Joe Wilson wall to wall with pundits and other Marxists blathering about how he should be shot.

CNN missed between 500,000 and 2 million just like they miss the March for Life every year. Three Code Pink whack jobs on the steps of the Supreme Court would have rated an hour, the story of the March, no, they missed it by a mile.
FOX was right.

C-Span had the best coverage that I saw, the fox netcast had some other audio playing instead of what was going on at the March.

“Who’s Campbell Brown?”

*****

She’s some woman on CNN I heard of that attacked Sarah Palin in the most viscous, personal and unprofessional of manners the same day Sarah was chosen to run as Vice President.

Ms Brown is just upset that hardly anyone watches her failing network anymore and Fox sure isn’t offering her a job.

“She’s some woman on CNN I heard of that attacked Sarah Palin in the most viscous, personal and unprofessional of manners the same day Sarah was chosen to run as Vice President.”

She’s also the same women who reported on the Saudi visit to Crawford Texas and did not report on Saudi demands that women leave the control tower, and not be visible anywhere when they deplaned. Then she gave us various puff pieces about the Saudis, while not disclosing to us that she was happily doinking a saudi prince in the entourage! News slut.
