Here is video of Neil Cavuto talking with Anti-ObamaCare Protester Bill Rice, the man who had his finger bitten off at a Health Care Rally in Thousand Oaks, California last night.
Rice cannot have his finger reattached because it was a human bite, and doctors said bacteria associated with a human bite would make it almost impossible for it to work.
Rice said he was approached by a deranged man, who was pro-ObamaCare, who "came at him," and when he did he threw a punch at the man. After a second punch, Rice said his fist "wound up in his mouth" and "he bit my pinky finger off." . . . . (Watch Video)

Good thing this happened before the socialized health care, or he would have been left to die in the emergency room hallway.
It is a little harder to feel bad for getting a finger bitten off, if you put it in their mouth by hitting them.
Never fight in hand to hand combat with zombies.
Thank You! You took the words right out of my mouth!
I watched Neal Cavuto’s interview the fellow who got his finger bitten off, and it’s pretty clear that this has nothing, repeat nothing, to do with the debate over health care.
The Bitee threw the first punch and connected, threw a second punch and ended up sticking his pinkie finger tn the Biter’s mouth, which the Biter promptly proceeded to chomp off leaving little or no stub behind.
As soon as these guys started the personal violence, they extracted themselves from any resemblance to a civil conversation about anything. I can’t say that I necessarily blame the Biter, no matter who he is or is not affiliated with. If someone attacked me for any reason, I’d defend myself any way I could, up to and including biting off ears, fingers, or noses in order to inflict as much damage as I could to either defeat or drive the attacker off.
Moving on...
I can’t verify this, but a guy claiming to have been right there called into Rush (Mark Steyn) today and claimed that the pro obama guy came over to where they were and started getting in the face of this guy for no good reason. He described the anti obama guy’s decking of the rat as self defense.
-- snip --...About 15 people opposed to President Barack Obamas proposed healthcare reform stood across the street from Moveon.orgs group. Members of Code Pink: Women for Peace also were there, authorities said.
The finger-biting incident occurred after Rice became involved in a heated discussion with a member of Code Pink, sheriffs Capt. Ross Bonfiglio said. After the argument, Rice returned to where his own group was standing. A man from Moveon.orgs area then walked over to the opponents and verbally confronted Rice, allegedly calling him names and acting aggressively, Bonfiglio said.
Rice later told investigators he felt threatened by the man and punched him in the nose, Bonfiglio said. The punch set off a fist fight between the two men, during which the tip of Rices left pinky finger was bitten off, Bonfiglio said.
Rice drove himself to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. Another man found the bitten-off portion of the finger and brought it to Rice at the hospital, Bonfiglio said.
Doctors were not able to re-attach Rices finger.
Doctors told Rice the finger, severed near the second knuckle, would not survive because it had been cut by a human bite, he said in a phone interview today.
Rice said he did not initially plan to participate in any demonstration Wednesday. He was driving by the vigil when he spotted Code Pink members, and he stopped to see if they were protesting the military, he said. Rice has a son who is an officer in the Marine Corps.
After a brief conversation with Code Pink members, Rice said, he was satisfied they were not protesting the military. He was leaving when a man who seemed deranged approached and called him an idiot, he said.
Rice said he felt like the man had singled him out because he was the easiest target. But the incident happened quickly, he said, and he doesnt clearly remember everything that preceded the altercation.
Scott Bush, 43, of Thousand Oaks said he was standing with Rice in the group opposed to healthcare reform when a man walked from the Moveon.org group across the street and over a traffic island toward them.
Bush said the man asked the group if they were for a public health insurer option, and they responded no. The man then singled out Rice and asked him why, according to Bush. When Rice responded that he didnt want the government involved in anything, the man came to within 3 feet of Rice and yelled, Youre an idiot, Bush said.
Bush said Rice then hit the man in a defensive move. The man then pulled Rice into the street, according to Bush.
After a fight that lasted only a few seconds, Bush said, he heard Rice say, He bit my finger off, and he saw a stump.
Bush said he later found the roughly 1-inch piece of Rices finger next to the traffic island about 20 feet away.
The suspect fled the scene, authorities said. He was described as a short man with a medium build, wearing a blue cap, black shirt and black shorts. He remained at large this morning...
(RonDog added the bold part, which was not in the original.)
The cowardly attacker chose an old man to pick on, got in his face like his master Obama instructed him, and the old man defended himself. A younger, stronger man would have scared the attacker off after the first blow. Use a bat on these leftist cannibals.
When they arrest the perpetrator, they shoudl remove the perp’s penis- he obviously doesn’t need one if he’s fighting older folks and doign htis kind of crap to them
That could well be, but Free Republic members have set the tone and led by example on how to conduct a peaceful protest against some of the most virulent leftists in the Nation for years now.
I look at the example set by the DC Freepers in particular, who have been out counter-protesting Code Pinko at Walter reed Army Hospital for a couple of years. To my knowledge, nobody has had anything bitten, ripped, stolen, torn, shot, or otherwise forcibly removed from their persons the entire time. I have never heard a report of fisticuffs at any event or demonstration where Freepers have been in attendance.
Again, both of these guys lost the argument as soon as they resorted to any kind of violence. Both are guilty in my view and they very neatly canceled out each other’s views on anything.
That is correct. The finger biter walked across the street and started the confrontation with the 65 year old man.
After the cops were called the finger biter took off and hid. As far as I know the finger biter is still hiding.
Bottom line is if you get in someones face and take up their space you might get punched in the face.
...The Bitee threw the first punch and connected, threw a second punch and ended up sticking his pinkie finger in the Biters mouth, which the Biter promptly proceeded to chomp off leaving little or no stub behind.I guess my street fighting days are too far behind me.
Please walk me through how a guy's LITTLE FINGER ends up in his opponent's mouth -- if he were really "throwing a punch."
A more logical interpretation of the facts currently in evidence would be that the man whose little finger tip was bitten of was acting DEFENSIVELY at the time.
Try it. Hold your hand in front of your face, as if you were fending off an attack -- attempting to protect your face. Now, make a fist, and aim it towards your opponent.Note where your little finger is, in relation to your opponent's mouth.
Note what he is able to easily bite: only your KNUCKLES, right?
The old guy may have thrown the FIRST punch, but he seems to have been attempting to protect himself at the time when the street-fighting MoveOn.org-er chomped off his finger, right?Or?
[[The Bitee threw the first punch and connected, threw a second punch and ended up sticking his pinkie finger tn the Biters mouth, which the Biter promptly proceeded to chomp off leaving little or no stub behind.]]
You’re leaving out a critical point- the man came at him in a DERANGED manner- I spose he should have just ‘waited to see’ what MIGHT happen to him while this DERANGED MAN approached him in an aggressive manner eh? I applaud the man for taking preemptive measures and not lettign the agression of hte left go unanswered!
“The suspect fled the scene”
Well, that tell you all you need to know. And he’s still at large? Coward.
It's hard to say what you would do if you thought the guy was going to attack you. He was cannibalistic.
The guy with the missing finger is not playing the victim and he is not afraid either. He is a really good man.
This is why I won't go to protests. I know myself. I have no patience and too many years of combat martial arts training. CMA differs from traditional Martial Arts in that there is little on the defensive side and it is very biased towards maim, cripple and kill. A code pinko would get in my face and say something and I would be in jail and my family financially ruined, (which is happening anyway thanks to the econ.). Nope don't need it. Have great admiration for those who do.
The days of peaceful protests are coming to an end. There is a Communist revolution underway in the US, and things are going to get violent and bloody. Free speech isn’t going to come easy or cheap. I’m not saying this to encourage violence, or to suggest that we shouldn’t be restrained and orderly when we protest. The fact is, from the top down, the leftist are willing to do whatever violence is necessary to shut us up. Be prepared.
Oh, I don’t blame the guy for throwing a punch.
I’m just saying that it is hard to fault the other guy for biting the pinky, if the victim was hitting him at the time.
Once there is a fight, you can expect that something bad will happen to somebody.
No it isn't. Mr. Pinko the pinky biter committed assault. That's usually cause enough to defend one's self legally speaking.
