September 8th should be “National Keep Your Child Home From School Day”

If we had children they would be snarky and fabulous.

They would also be staying home from school on September 8th because there’s no way in Hell we’d allow them to be indoctrinated by Dr. Utopia on his “National Give Me Your Children Day”.

We didn’t think anything could be worse than the whole “Report Your Neighbors Program” the White House pushed, where citizens were encouraged to report their friends, family, and neighbors if any of them were overheard disagreeing with liberal Democrats and their push for socialized medicine.

But, forcing school children to listen to Dr. Utopia…in a speech we know he will use to try to mold these children into political tools… thinking the kids will run home and tell their parents they need to stop resisting socialism and start supporting Dr. Utopia. Or else they are RAAAACISTS! probably.

Because anyone who doesn’t agree with this president is automatically a RAAACIST!, according to the White House and the MSM.

Listen, most parents in this country are not Claire McCaskill. Most parents can think for themselves. Most parents, and United States Senators, don’t do things just because “their kids bugged them and bugged them and bugged them to do it” (hear that, Claire Bear?).

So, it’s insane for Dr. Utopia to think that just because he can broadcast a message to every school child in America on September 8th that he can turn them into mini-Rahm Emanuels who’ll berate their parents with profanity-laced diatribes until they buckle and return to the Hope! Change! Unicorns! zombiehood these people were entranced in all last year. The White House sees its hallucinatory mass hysteria grip on the nation slipping, and appears to think indoctrinating children is the way to get their mojo back.

We hope this blows up in their collective liberal face.

If Republicans were smart, they’d organize a National Keep Your Child Home From School Day on September 8th — for at least the part of the day that Dr. Utopia will be “speaking directly to the children”.

We think it would be more educational for parents to take their children to a museum that morning…or keep them home and read a book with them…or maybe show them a video about George Washington or Teddy Roosevelt or Abraham Lincoln (or, if you’re us, Hillary Clinton).

Dr. Utopia is in constant campaign mode. He wants to get to children now so that in three years those old enough to vote in 2012 will be loyal to him, and those still too young will, like Claire McCaskill’s own spawn, bug and bug and bug their parents to drink more Kool-Aid and give Dr. Utopia his second term.

Republicans, Independents, and moderate Democrats need to push back against this Orwellian nonsense. The MSM will never call him on it, but just imagine if President George W. Bush or Ronald Reagan had done something like this? The MSM would be apoplectic!

But, once again, whatever Dr. Utopia does is unicorn-dusted-rainbow-magic, and those that criticize him are, of course, RAAAACIST!

God, I love Texas!

My local school district’s website:

* This event is not a component of the Plano ISD curriculum and is therefore not a mandatory activity.
* Viewing the broadcast is not a planned classroom activity for September 8.
* Like many historical events, Plano ISD will have this video available for students and teachers via the digital video library.

Obama has a lot of nerve. If he has something to say he should say it to me not to my kids, or at least let the parents read the transcript so that we can decide if we want our kids to hear him or not. I have no interest in letting my kids enroll in the Obama Youth. If this is supposed to be an inspirational speech what makes him think that he is inspirational at all or can have any effect, whatsoever, on how my kids perform at school? I can affect far more how they’re going to perform than he can.

Talk about micro-managing! Doesn’t he have anything better to do? What about the economy? What about Iran? What about North Korea? Waht about giving a pro-democracy, pro-freedom speech to your Czars, Obama? What about spending that time reading your health-care bill? Jeez! C’mon! Leave us alone!

I am beginning to think the 8th could be a VERY BAD DAY for Obama after this little talk...

My daughters already told me they know he is a liar and plan to tell all the kids in school what ‘socialism’ is in terms they can understand.

I had one of them do all the work last week because the other was away at sleepover camp.

I paid the her $50

Then I took away 60% in taxes ($30) and I gave her sister (who didnt do anything) $20

Her sister was briefly happy until I took $10 back from each of them. I told them since I gave them the moneyt I could decide how to spend it, and I decided to spend their money on veggie burgers and health care vitamins.

Boy you should have heard the screaming.

I made sure they understood that if they both had just been GIVEN $10 each in the beginning without question they would not have realized it started as $50 income for someone.

And that would have made them just like the happy voters who will gladly vote to take THEIR $50 from them when they are working, so they can get $10

Socialism lesson learned.

They have been practicing saying “the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money”

My son’s school district is on strike. I never thought I would say this, but think God they are and I hope it last another week.

This is how the socialist/commies operate. They know that most reasonable adults (except for the Obots among us of course) won't subscribe to their leftist bilge, so they go after the hearts and minds of the most impressionable of us. Hitler understood this well.

I've taught my kids the old lawyer joke about how you can tell when a lawyer is lying -- whenever his lips move. And Barry Soetoro Hussein Obozo just happens to be a lawyer.

Fortunately, I have legal custody of my grandson. He will not participate in September 8. 2009 political propaganda.

I rest my case.
