Are you perchance a fellow Mazda enthusiast? I own a ‘91 Miata myself.

Looks like Government Motors and FiatUSA didn’t do so well.
More bad news for the Baraqqi Coalition.

I have a 2006 Mazda 3. The first foreign car I have ever owned and certainly not the last. 50,000+ miles without any repairs and as much as 40 mpg on the highway (5 speed manual). I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

My Miata’s been great. I’m the third owner, but I’ve put over 150,000 miles on it in the ten years I’ve had it. It’s at almost 244K on the original engine and transmission, and just recently got its third clutch (which lasted over 140K).

I had a 1988 Mazda 323. Great little car that barely cost anything to run. The only real problem was a clutch that needed to be replaced after almost 90k miles and breaks that didn't stop it in time when a big Ford van ran a stop sign in front of me. :-(

My next car was a Saturn and I realized how spoiled I had been with a car that needed almost no repairs.

breaks->brakes. Stupid spell checker should be adaptive to automotive threads.

The one that irritates me (and I see this all the time on auto-related discussion boards) is the use of “broke” as the past tense of “to brake.”
