Homosexual Pressure Group Turns up Heat on Mesa for Domestic Partner Benefits
The Arizona Conservative ^ | Aug. 29, 2009 | Dennis Durband

Equality Arizona continues to push its radical agenda onto the citizens of Mesa, one of the nation’s more conservative communities.

Earlier this summer, Equality Arizona encouraged homosexuals to move to Mesa, and now it is campaigning for domestic partner benefits with city officials there. This is nothing more than an effort to undermine marriage and family.

What’s more, this group is asking its members call or email members of the Mesa City Council, Mayor Scott Smith and the Human Relations Advisory Board “to let them know you support a process to explore relationship recognition that that will provide opportunities for unmarried people to take care of each other.”

Human Relations Advisory Board ? How Orwellian. Maybe the City of Mesa should abolish that first...

This seems to be just a continuation of the lefty agenda. Move a lot of left-wing activists to conservative areas, then when you have sufficient numbers, start putting in your agenda items. I am seeing this a bit in the small, rural town where my daughter's university is located. Her freshman year, she was signed up to vote but the ballot was from the college town, not her actual residence which would be living with us. The professors push a lot of liberal agenda items in City Council meetings, etc.

I believe this is why you now see so many "gays" teaching in elementary schools. They need to start the endoctrination process early.

Arizona just passed their marriage protection (definition) amendment last year - minus the provision prohibiting fake marriage (domestic partnerships.) The states that wisely saw the writing on the wall erected a bulwark against this back door to “marriage” in their marriage amendments. Strangely, Texas is such a state, but the homo-activists are still trying to get “domestic partner” recognition here, by one name or another. Just ignore the Constitution is their rule.
