Americans heard loud and clear what candidate Obama said about building a national security defense force.

Why? because the majority of our military is republican/conservative... thats why.
They actually believe in defending the constitution.
He wants one to intimidate people who don’t agree with him. Town hall protests would look very different if an armed Civilian Security Defense Force (that reported to the government) was roaming around the event.
The model is Cuba and Venezuela. You have rat enforcers in every neighborhood.
And he will then add his Stasi like component. Files on everyone.
Yeah I remember him saying this during the campaign, of course the media was NO WHERE to be found, oh what a shock
Hitler had his Brown Shirts.
Mussolini had his Black Shirts.
Mao had his Red Guard.
Obama is just following the footsteps of his ideological heroes.
I guess we’ll have a chance to start using all that ammo we’ve been buying in the last year.

I guess I’m naive to think that silly “no standing army” thingie in the Constitution will prevent this.
How long before we are forced to quarter his “soldiers” in our homes?
Sounds like the Red Guard and my relatives in China can tell you how well that worked. My cousins (their parents and grandparents were all non-Party professionals) were encouraged to catch rats to supplement their proletarian meals.
Only one problem with him doing that in this country. The public here is well armed and ready to defend themselves, their home, and the constitution of this great country. I Know that my wife and I are. We are both veterans, fought communisim in other countries and will do so here, and let the first one get near my son. I pitty them and the fact that they are lost and don’t know any better than what the government squeezes into their heads.
I’ll be happy to draw and quarter Obama’s soldiers in my home.

Think of what happened to the white-owned farms in Zimbabwe and you'll probably have a better picture of how this is likely to shake out. Property seized from its owners and handed over to the "soldiers of the revolution".
This will not be like the British colonies.
