17 year old pulls a gun on a 32 year old man in an armed robbery attempt. 32 year old victim has a MCPL (Michigan Concealed Pistol License) and responds accordingly. 17 year old thug gets the surprise of his life as he ends up critically injured.

Only critically injured him? He needs to spend more time on the range!
Maybe a bigger gun.
I’m hoping the fact that he didn’t off this low-life doesn’t end up in a civil action against him, ala Bernhard Goetz.
More range time....
Bigger gun...
The victim did what he needed to do. He survived.
We all would like to brag about what we would do..if..
But, until that time....We really have no idea.
Again, he survived. And that’s a good thing.
I’m sure their is a pack of attack lawyers camped outside the perps hospital room hoping he lives.
The important lesson here is the value of not displaying your weapon first.
To start with, the robber doesn’t even know you are armed. Second, his attention is divided between you and everything else. Third, he expects you to root around to get your wallet. Fourth, he doesn’t really want to shoot you, or he would have already shot you. And fifth, he will want to walk away from you after he has your wallet.
You have the advantage of knowing about how long it will take you to draw, charge-if you have to charge, take off safe and fire. You have no other distractions. You really want to shoot him. And you have no problem shooting him in the front or back. Your emphasis is on shooting, not your wallet.
Unless he is trained, he is boned.
“More range time....
Bigger gun...

No kidding, nobody knows what you’ll do when the SHTF other than those who’ve been there. Luckily, there’s not many that have. I let folks run with their “rambo” suggestions though, maybe they’ll actually remember that when time goes warp speed in a bad situation!
