I always thought a bangle is the bracelet itself (unless it's a bangle AKA hoop earring), no?
Last year a Sikh-Welsh girl won a High Court ruling allowing her to wear her bangle.Her school, like many others, had previously prohibited all jewelry except watches & earrings (mostly for safety reasons, I'd imagine.)
So now all schools are evidently required to make an exception for their Sikh students wearing bangles, & no doubt soon Christian girls will mount a challenge as well to get a ruling for their necklaces with crosses.
