"We The People" A New Conservative Anthem
Posted on 08/21/2009 3:15:30 PM PDT by Madly57
I'm a different kind of activist- a musical activist. I've recently recorded a song called "We The People" with some conservative friends of mine.
TOPICS: Music/Entertainment
KEYWORDS:
You can hear it at "goodguysusa.com" While you're there, check out "Stand" and "The Good Guys"(which Neal Boortz played on his program last fall) I'm desperately trying to reach out to the online community to help me spread the word. I'm a first class digital moron. Picture a chimpanzee trying to pilot a 747 and you get a pretty good impression of me trying to figure out how to communicate thru sites like FR. In real life, I'm a contractor who hasn't worked in about two months thanks largely to Mr. Obamas' intentional destuction of our economy.I listen to Talk radio about eight hours a day. That's where most of my motivation for songwriting comes from. A couple of years ago I found myself wondering how to get the Conservative message out, especially to those that don't pay much attention to "politics". Liberals clearly dominated the media, Hollywood and academia. That's when it struck me. I'd almost never hear a song come out of Nashville with a liberal twist. "New" Country music (essentially updated 70's Southern Rock) was completely open to songs with a message of God, Country, and common sense. So, with two conservative friends, we started writing and recording as we could afford to. Understand this- we're not trying to be the next big thing out of Nashville. We're family guys who enjoy staying close to home. We want to be able to operate as a Conservative songwriting factory, using the power of music to advance the cause. For that to happen, "We The People" has GOT to get some traction. We're as grassroots as it gets. We have no management, no backing, no money, and no time to waste. Our wives have been great thru all of this, but their patience is running a little thin with our five year "adventure" which has so far netted us a grand total of about twenty bucks. I really think "We The People" could become the rallying cry for the millions of us who didn't vote for. or now regret their vote for "Change" It's the perfect theme song for the Tea Party movement, etc. If you'd like a free mp3 to use for an event, let me know. I'd be happy to send it to you. You can email me at "perfectionplus@embarqmail.com" or thru the Good Guys" site. If you're (unlike me) a computer whiz (see "chimpanzee" comment above) and like what you hear, we'd love to have your help in promoting us to other internet news sites, as well as to your favorite Talk Radio hosts. We appreciate it more than you'll ever know. I know things are tough out there (I just finished mowing my neighbors lawn for a few extra bucks) but if we stick together and support each other, and get the message of Conservatism out there and educate people, I know we can stop this slide into Socialism in 2010. Keep the Faith- Thanks

Is it as good as the Schoolhouse Rock song-version of the preamble??? That was the best.
