The AARP representative lost it, and simply walked out on the public meeting promoting ObamaScare.

Wonder how many members this will cost them?

Quite a few Dallas members it seems. Let’s hope that our seniors wake up and cancel their memberships all over the country.

PRay it costs them greatly. Pray the word starts to spread among the folks in AARP to convince their friends, who trust them, to drop out.

Nobody plunges the knives deeper into unsuspecting elderly than Team Obama and AARP.

AARP,

You can not treat the elderly that way when they were in a respectful manner trying to make their voices heard. You just haven't figured out that you can not get away with that.

Hey Fossil, nice to see you. I really can’t figure out why anyone who pays attention would want anything to do with AARP. As long as I can remember they have been just another liberal lobby hiding behind senior citizens. I can do without 10% off at a motel and the endless junk mail.

You are dead-on about how long AARP has been this way.

The only thing I found noteworthy is they appear as thin skinned as the Obozo administration.

They are about to get hammered and they know it is coming.

Geezer Scams.

Some Old Geezers still have teeth. And are well read, opinionated, and they vote. Bad combination for those who scam seniors. (whatever senior’s are)

By the way, this was on Drudge. That should get the exposure.

And hopefully hurt them dearly.

I cancelled.

So why in the heck would AARP send some condescending youngster to conduct a meeting? I can't quite get a grip on that. (If she was afraid she would lose control of the “mob” she shouldn't have been the spoke person.)

Most of the people in the audience have probably seen more in their life than she ever will. Very disrespectful of the AARP puppy.

I think it is an example of the attitude of our current administration.

Reminds me of the line from Fried Green Tomatoes..

“I'm younger and faster.” (Young ladies steal a parking space from Kathy Bates)

“I'm older with more insurance.” (Bates as she destroys their car.)

It will be interesting to see who wins. Us geezers or the parking place thieves.

Thanks for additional links.

I used the complete title for the video when I searched the database for previous posts. When I did the search I found none. In the future I plan on shortening the title on a long title like this to prevent duplicates.

Best regards,

So why in the heck would AARP send some condescending youngster to conduct a meeting?

Companies hire young employees because they potentially can be longer term employees (fallacy is they change jobs more often), they can hire them cheaper, cheaper to insure and they are "mallable". The do not question the company policy decisions because they do not have a broad enough general background to understand where all the pieces are.

Like the Nazi Wunderkinder (Wonder Children) they can be brainwashed and be given great power which they will wield by policies given from the top and never questioned.

Am I disrespectful of bright youth? No. But too many young people today equate technical competence and knowledge with wisdom. All of life cannot be distilled to an equation. Technical competence without religious and philosophical mouring is a perscription for disaster.

The AARP motel discounts are such a joke, anyhow.

When you say you have an AARP card, the airhead at the desk blithely states that the quoted nightly rate has "the discount factored in already". I'd like to push a grapefruit half into her puss.

However, what I do is stare the clerk down as I pretend to gather up my keys and bag. I tell them the little sneak I'm NOT an AARP member and ask pointedly if I HAVE to belong to AARP to get a senior discount at your motel?"

I might even add I feel discriminated against.

It works almost every time....except on weekends.

Can anyone tell me how aarp knows when people are approaching the age for their membership?
Many people I know start receiving those annoying mailings just at the right time.
How does aarp know?
