20 yrs.? Nahhhh, I ‘m sure there will be a Presidential Pardon awaiting him as soon as it quiets down.
More “history” being made by a DemocRAT politician!
The MSM doesn’t care about dem corruption... wonder why?
It took 5 days to find this thug guilty??
There were 16 counts they had to decide upon. They found him guilty of 11.
Democrats in New Orleans and the rest of Louisiana have created an atmosphere where, because they are black, you cannot question them, doubt them, vote against them or speak ill of them or you are branded a racist. It was so bad in New Orleans that if you were black, you could get away with murder...quite often. You could do what you wanted, to whomever you wanted and your skin color gave you a free pass.
Look at the Katrina evacuees who were scattered and the chaos they caused. Do you think the murders, rapes and robberies were not going on already in Orleans? Of course it was, they just never had the crimes punished previously...or if they did, they got out early, or got off completely because it would be racist to have more blacks than whites in prison.
I worked at a hospital downtown where we were picked off like flies with muggings, car jackings, and break ins. There were two distinc classes of black there and one was just as much a victim of racism and crime as the whites were. There was so much crime, it got to the point where you reported a crime only because you needed a police report for your insurance....the crimes never were pursued.
This all fed in to the notion that because I am black, I have a free pass to do what I want. Really, I am shocked that a politician actually got caught....the behavior is so common....the prosecution is soooooo rare.
And your experience is a prime example why we should all avoid going to New Orleans. Don’t give them any tourism dollars, don’t reward their corruption, don’t become a victim of the rampant crime they have there.
I’d absolutely love it if another city decided to start a big Mardi Gras celebration to give folks an alternative to the NOLA celebration.
