Here is video of Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin saying that Americans turning out to question and protest at Health Care forums all across the nation are attempting to "sucker punch" Senators and Congressmen to keep them from voting for Government Health Care.

Durbin claims the citizens attending the events who are opposing the Democrats' Government Health Care Plan are there at the instigation of "Health Insurance Companies and people like them."

This is a good sign that the Dems are really nervous about the grassroots groundswell of opposition to what they are trying to do. Now they are attacking the citizens who are making their voices known.

Politicians and strategists praise Patrick Gaspard highly, although he stays away from the limelight.

"Patrick is the best political mind of his generation in New York and maybe the nation," says Kevin Sheekey, who as Michael Bloomberg's right-hand-man has frequently worked and battled with Gaspard.

"I wouldn't dispute that," said David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist and Gaspard's cohort on the campaign trail. When reminded that such a title could be bestowed on Axelrod himself, the strategist said he was "happy to cede that" to Gaspard.

The Washington Post, among others, has announced that a longtime labor operative of Barack Obama's, Patrick Gaspard, will be named Obama's White House political director.

Gaspard served as national political director for much of Obama's general election campaign and was named deputy director of personnel for the transition effort. Prior to his work with Obama, Gaspard was the lead political operative for the 1199 branch of the Service Employees International Union, a huge and hugely influential union representing health care workers in New York. He spent the 2004 general election as the national field director for America Coming Together.

Gaspard was featured prominently in Ryan Lizza's recent New Yorker piece detailing how Obama won. Of his job interview with the Illinois Senator, Gaspard recalled Obama saying: "I think that I'm a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I'll tell you right now that I'm gonna think I'm a better political director than my political director."

In a representative form of government, if the representative returns home and is met with a mob almost literally carrying pitchforks and torches, you would think that the politician would seriously consider A) His duty to represent his constiutents and B) His own interests in getting re-elected.

I get the feeling that many of the Democrats see the angry mobs and shrug them off. They don't care. They are dismissive. That seems odd to me.

Frankly, it reinforces my belief that we no longer have elections in this country. Between ACORN and corrupt Secretaries of State, I think the voters are no longer part of the process.

There's"sucker punching" going on alright...but it's coming from the Obama administration and the Dem leadership. They are trying to sucker punch the entire nation.

We need to fight back...but we need to do so as informed and educated citizens and take it to our reps...most of whom, will not be as educated as we are on this issue and legislation.

Here is a link to the full House Democrat Health Care Plan in PDF. In Section 1233 E & F, pages 426-433, you find the part about mandatory end-of-life counseling for anyone over 65 years of age. Section 152 Page 50: All healthcare services will be provided without regard to "personal characteristcs" which is not defined within the document but is understood to include immigration status.

Section 224 b Page 125: The Secretary shall design and implement the payment mechanisms and policies under this section in a manner that — (1) seeks to (B) reduce health disparities (including racial, ethnic and other disparities).

A lot more provisions now being documented at that site.

Donwload it, read it, study it, then hammer your reps over it and pass it on to all you know asking them to do the same.
