It isn’t just organic foods that they sell — the Whole Foods nearest us has some things that I just haven’t been able to get elsewhere, most notably buffalo steaks and (when in season) Icelandic lamb. And those are certainly different/better than the run of the mill varieties.
Trader Joe’s is better, better priced and less political than Whole Foods. They stock a lot of gourmet foods, have an excellent produce selection and fine wines. Your dollar will go a lot further there and you don’t have to put up with all the Prius driving libs and their BHO bumperstickers.
