You have to buy a lager like Red Stripe from a reputable establishment.

You mean, rather than buying it from a side-street roti shop?*

*The chicken curry went right through me like an uptown express...

My experience with Red Stripe took place in Jamaica with a group of VERY fun people. Maybe the set and setting colored my judgement.

How dare you subject lowly ping pong balls to that swill...

Bud Light is only good for feeding the bacteria in your compost heap.

Wow! Thanks for the alert. Rick Reed at Cricket Hill Brewery frequently rails against foreign owned beers during his weekly beer screed. (sample video here) It occurs to me that his talk tomorrow night might be especially amusing. It's no longer free. It costs two bucks now, but you get to sample his beers from 5 to 7 PM in Fairfield, NJ. The talk usually begins between 6:30 and 6:45. Cigars optional. Check it out if you're within driving distance.

"Sgt. Crowley is bringing an attorney and a union rep with him.... Good idea."

I made the comment a few days ago that I thought it was very odd that the city's attorney, his own attorney and his union reps would allow him to attend such a meeting, primarily because Gates has stated publicly that he was weighing the possibility of a legal action.

I hadn't heard that Crowley was bringing representation, but as you point out, it's a very good idea.

It’s okay for killing slugs, too; but then both the left-over beer AND the dead slugs should be added to the compost heap.

Then the compost heap should be bagged, crated, and dumped in the Laurentian Abyssmal.

I’ll be on the look-out for it down here in Virginia. Or, maybe I’ll have to wait and pick some up on my next trip up north.

Well, Colt .45 is owned by Pabst. Is that still a US-owned company? If so, The Kenyan should have a nice cold Colt....
