Obama to drag down Democrats as poll numbers drop?

No matter which organization is doing the Obama polling, they all have one thing in common--confidence in Obama is falling rapidly. Now the question remains is if this continues, how many Democrats who are supporting him will pay the price when they go home for the August recess and in the 2010 congressional elections?

Since April, confidence in Obama's leadership has fallen as he has loses approval numbers on being decisive, strong, and in touch with what the ordinarily American cares about. The arrogance of the White House has begun to be a hallmark of his administration. And the more Obama talks and appears on TV, the fewer Americans are listening to him because he is still in campaigning mode and it is no longer working. Especially disenchanted are Independents, moderate Republicans and older Americans.

Especially disenchanted are Independents

Last poll I saw, with regard to independants, showed that 62% had a disfavorable view of Obama.

THAT didn't take long.

And, as he pushes his socialized medicine program, disguised as something else, more citizens will see the power grab inherent in it.

Ronald Reagan's 1961 speech warning against "Socialized Medicine" can be found here

Another wonderful site with great information is the American Association of Physicians & Surgeons, whose opposition to socialized medicine has been ongoing for many years. Visit it here

From there, there are links to other sites and to upcoming events, including this one, pertaining to this weekend.

Now... if we only had a conservative party that would take power and immediately work to severely limit the power of the Federal government so this never happens again. From 1930 to 2009 the United States government has become a repressive dictatorial force and must be brought to its knees. Power must be returned to the individual states and severe limits placed on ANY federal authority... If not... the same stuff happens again a few years and the federal government grows bigger than ever. All on Chinese money, mind you...because these leakers don't have the guts to raise taxes high enough to pay for the madness...

Does the drop in poll numbers have a direct relation to the rise in the DOW numbers?

We get one shot at them next year before the media repackages the Dems as underdogs and the public anger recedes. That's what we saw in 1980 and 1994. The Dems immediately recovered in 1982 and 1996, with the help of their media blowhorns.

Carter wasn't terribly unpopular in 1978. His party took a normal sized beating, not an avalanche. Proposition 13 was the big story that year. The Republicans ran a bunch of Eville Younger’s and blew the opportunity to make even bigger gains.

Obama should get nailed a lot worse than that, unless ACORN really makes up votes. His policies will begin to kick in and cause mass pain. Don't expect the media to tell us how bad it is paying higher taxes and fuel bills. We are a kinder, gentler USSR.

If Obama drags down other dems, they will abandon him. Visit your congressjerks when they arrive home, and let them hear what you think.

Anyone else here tune into AirAmerica once in a while out of curiosity?

I do, and it aint pretty for Obama or the Democrats. The callers and the host are furious. In almost all cases its because the Dems are not using their super majority to ram single payer through, seeing their utopian dream get whittled down to something more resembling the GOP alternative. They know they will loose the super majority in 2010, and that this may be their last chance to get single payer through, and they see the opportunity slipping through their fingers.

I have heard caller after caller say they will not vote for a Democrat again if its anything less than single payer.

The economy is also starting to hit home with them. They are noticing the stimulas money did nothing for the little guy and the small business owner.

There were a lot of politically tone deaf folks who tied there wagon to this dud when he was riding high, who are going to be looking for work soon.

2010 is on track to be an absolute bloodbath for the dems. Only those from the bluest of blue districts will be safe. He’s on track to be a lame duck by the end of the year, and Pelosi and Reid shilling in the vaccumm this will create will absolutely cause a routing of dems in 2010.
