Doesnt the law allow for any penalty at all for people submitting nuisance complaints? Not under current Alaska law.
Clearly the law needs to be changed and just as clearly, the good ol' boys of Alaska weren't going to lift a finger to accommodate Gov. Palin while she was in office. Maybe they'll do the right thing now and make the necessary changes.

Maybe they'll do the right thing now and make the necessary changes. I realize it's a fine line. You don't want to write a law that discourages legitimate ethics complaints. At the same time you don't want to write a law that can be abused for crass political purposes. The way this person is using it is not what the framers of the law had in mind.
