Bush said he was going to withdraw on this date. 0Buma had nothing to with it. Already the “freedom fighters” that the left praised are coming in to “take over” and “occupy” and bring Sharia law to everyone. Gays, women and non Muslims will all feel the wonder of beheadings, hangings and REAL torture. Thanks to left, Islam has gained territory.
Zero should be nervous - 100K+ troops are coming home who are going to be astounded at the changes made to their country while they were gone....
I spoke to a former co-worker of mine that returned from Iraq in December. It was the first time I had seen him since he got back. I asked him about how things are going over there. He said they got hit with about 4 road side bombs and took some small arms fire a couple of times but no intense fire fights. He was on security detail for supply convoys.
I asked him if we are nearing the end over there? He said unequivocally, it’s too soon. The Iraqi army is still not capable of securing it’s borders. They can do well for themselves in areas already secured but they cannot stop reinforcements that many seem to be sure are just waiting to come streaming in.
I would like to see a plan to first relocate our troops to the borders before pulling out.
Good point. I hope most of these returning veterans have jobs to come back to. Most companies hold jobs for those in the service if they are called up. But for how long and at what expense to other employees.
I expect most of those returning our miltary employed. But I am sure a good number were also reservists or in the guard.
