Although her arms don’t show the signs

"Willowy = anorexia Although her arms don’t show the signs"

Not all women who are extremely thin are "anorexic". Some women are just built that way -- think Audrey Hepburn, even likely Calista Flockhart (although they have thrown the "anorexic" charge at her, too.).

I can recall a time when I had to eat everything that wasn't nailed down just to keep enough weight on me not to be called "too thin" by my family. I ate and ate well, but still the ladies at my church would drag me into the kitchen and force me to eat in front of them because they thought I was too thin in my size 2!

The great irony was that I weighed more than they thought I did -- I was just more muscle than fat, but 5'4''and being small-boned, I just did not take up a lot of space -- plus I have high-cheekbones that made my face look thinner anyway.

It still irritates me when I hear people assume that someone has "anorexia" because they are thin. It's like psycho-babble where a little knowledge is dangerous because a label gets slapped on someone way too easily.

I look back on my "eat everything non-stop without gaining weight time" as the real good old days -- oh how I wish I still had that hyper metabolism!
