Wouldn’t that imply they were wounded in combat? We are not at war with these poor misguided criminals...remember??? (BIG EYE ROLL)

They were murdered/wounded by a civilian in the US. They will not receive the purple heart. Even if this had happened a year ago, there would not have been a purple heart. It simply doesn’t meet DOD criteria.

They certainly deserve something, and if those at the Pentagon received it, so should he, for the reality is that we may not be at war with Islam, but a significant portion of Islam is at war with us. I know the argument will be that he wasn't 'Al Qaeda,' but this new enemy operates at an independent, cellular level.

Look at this fine young soldier that was murdered:
